I love love love the Lychee Martini's here, one of the best cocktails I've ever had and I've had a few. They are no longer on the menu but you can still order them. I travel to Melbourne (from Sydney) frequently for work and always try and fit in a cocktail (or two!) while I'm here. Only thing I'll say is head inside during torrential rain if it's windy, it can be brutal! Great setting on the river and close to Crown.

Great Restaurant. Cannot recommend highly enough. We had a fantastic time thanks to great food, great service, great atmosphere, great location and great value for money.

This was our first visit at Left Bank Restaurant and we had a fabulous dining experience. My wife and I had a three-course dinner meal from the a la carte menu and a bottle of white wine and paid $160.00 that we found it was very reasonable for this calibre of restaurant. The only criticism would be that the menu is a bit confusing to read for the reason of its broken down into illogical sections (from the land, sea, land and sea).

Nevertheless, amongst the classy setting, from the service (a lovely and attentive French waiter) to the desserts the crème brulee (that was enough for two people) and the comfortable seats all was magnificent and we will definitely go back. (Two tourists from Sydney).

We had the chef surprise degustation. So wonderful in every way, even catering for our 11 year olds egg allergy. Everything was plate and cooked to perfection! Made the mistake of going to Nobu the next night. Should've made a return visit to Left Bank. Our son was so impressed that he asked to thank the chef in person, who then kindly took him for a grand tour of the kitchen. All in all, a stellar experience, with food, service and atmosphere (we sat outside) all top notch. Highly, highly, highly recommended!

Beautifully fitted out bar and lounge, for a midday drink or a late night supper. Attentive service. Full range of bar spirits and an extensive list to choose from.
Red braised duck parcels with Sichuan pickled cucumber and sweet soy would have shamed lesser quality offerings I've tried recently, including at a lauded off-Chapel diner. Steamed prawn and ginger wontons were mild in flavour with a vinegar-heavy XO dipping sauce. All served in individual pots to encourage sharing.
