It is very rare that I would rate the food at a restaurant this poorly, but, unfortunately, I had no choice with Laksa Me. I was most disappointed because I used to frequent Laksa Me several years ago and the food was never that bad. In fact, some of the dishes used to be down right delicious.

Sadly, age has not treated Laksa Me well. The panada chicken entree was indeible and I suspect undercooked. The laksa was a gloopy mess of overcooked noodles, salty muddy broth and fatty hunks of meat. Not a single vegetable. The service was efficient and friendly, but this cannot make up for the terrible food. I left feeling unwell and sad. Definitely do not visit until they have gotten a new kitchen staff.

The Laksa served were cold. The chicken in it tasted awful and the curry was way below average. Everything else not only didn't taste like Malaysians, also not up to standards in general (I did take into consideration of the prices when judging the food quality, so I didn't set a high standard). Reasonable prices for a cheap-eat restaurant but I won't go back again!

I've been to Laksa Me several times, always the food and service has been great. Sure it is not a 5 star super expensive place. Good quality food, good service, very friendly and polite.

Walked out, could not get served. Staff were too busy eating their own lunch. I don't know why we went back. Should have known from last time. Laksa was very poor and nothing in it (foodcourt food is tastier). Service is very slow, even when the place is rather empty. They leave all the dirty plates on the tables of the customers that have left the cafe.

I have eaten here several times, and am astounded at the bad reviews. The staff have always been very friendly and efficient, then food is amazing and full of flavour. Waiters are always willing to ease up on the spice when asked. Decor leaves a little to be desired, but cannot fault the food, service, or value for money.

In short, forget it! It is overpriced for less than average Malaysian food and the service was just dreadful. The place was not well ventilated. I was not given the table of my choice but placed near the entrance even though the place was not full.

I ordered the "Nasi Lemak of the Day" (AUD12.50). The serving size was small. The ikan bilis was deep fried, too hard and slightly bitter. Completely unauthentic. The curry chicken and sambal eggplant were just passable (if you were starving). To my surprise, the nasi lemak was not served with sambal (which it invariably comes with).

When I asked for it, I was given the wrong kind of sambal (despite telling the waiter what I wanted). He simply had no idea and to make matters worse I was charged a dollar for it. Being Malaysian and having experienced food all over South East Asia, my recommendation is avoid this place at all costs.

The noodles in my laksa were cooked too long and I agree with the other reviews about it being too spicy, but all the entrees were fantastic, fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. I'd only rate my main a 5 but the various entrees I tried were a 9 so I compromised on 7 for this review.

The decor is industrial, which is attractive but sound bounces off the walls and can get loud as the restaurant fills up. No complaints about the service, but the overall experience was lacking. When ordering, they were out of my FIL's first choice of beer and my MIL's first choice of wine, which didn't impress. When I ordered dessert (which didn't sound particularly appetizing, but it was the only one available) I was apologetically told it would be a 25 minutes wait.

I might go back for the entrees but I'll definitely pass on the mains and desserts.

Terrible laksa, very expensive and not even food hall quality. Entrees were quite good which was the only redeeming feature.

After all the hype plus the fact I've visited their previous incarnation as Ah Mui just half a block away before they opened here again, I must say I was highly disappointed by their food. Curries, entries, Laksas, everything was bad. Nothing was good.

Wouldn't even waste time explaining why it was bad or good, as I do for all my other reviews. Yes, it was that bad. Unbelievable. Foodcourts have better food than this.

Went here with my bro and sister expecting a delicious meal from the reviews I had read. It was so BAD that we left without eating even a quarter of the food. We all had the mum's laksa which was very spicy, no coconut flavour, tiny prawns, the chicken was not stripped, just boiled chunks of meat which tasted just like that... and that was it. Our entrees were also bland and not much to speak about.

I have never seen my brother leave any food on his plate (not a fussy eater) but he ate less than I did. It was GROSS! none of us even got halfway through our meal, deciding that the best thing for us to do was pay up and go to elsewhere. I don't usually write reviews but I feel so strongly about how bad this was I can't help myself writing in as many as I can.
