Overview of La Porchetta

This is one of La Porchetta's best outlets, and a family favourite in the region. There you'll find large and spacious dining, with plenty of tables and room to spare. The setting is basic, simple and understated, but perfect for a relaxing dinner for non wannabies. The service is quick, efficient and lately been very friendly. The meals here are among the best you'll get for your money - anywhere. This family restaurant makes its own Tiramisu and goes through a few boxes of Roma tomatoes a week to make their own sauce, and it shows! If you want a good meal at an affordable price while you're in the area then give it a go.

    This place is very basic inside, and almost feels like a clean garage. But in return you get good meals for good prices. They make a great chicken and avocado pasta sauce and the Caesar salads are very tasty and fresh, and even better with chicken. The veal scallopini that my G/F orders look a treat and come with nicely cooked scalloped potatoes, etc.

    There's very little not to like about the food or service except maybe the idea of getting value for money which offends many snobs (I suspect the snobs you find eating there are not locals so they can avoid being spotted by a friend).
