I've been here several times, the service is always friendly, and the food is also very good. The seafood pancake is great, all my friends I've taken there always love it. It can sometimes be a bit quiet, so I would recommend it as a great place for a group of friends.

In terms of authentic Korean food in the Melbourne CBD, this has to be the place to go. Unlike the hundreds of cheap Korean bbq places that have sprung up, Korea Palace has been around for a decade and was designed to provide an all-round dining experience.

For newcomers to the Korean experience, stick to the Korean BBQ and entrees or if you want to try something else, ask the waiters for some help. I doubt the food is bland and tasteless as some would claim if you order something you won't like, it doesn't matter how well it is made. Given the extra attention that has to come from the waiters for a Korean bbq, don't be too shirty if the meal lasts a bit longer than normal - if you're in a hurry just let them know.

Korean food is something you should try at least once in your life, if not in Korea then make it here.

Ate here with 6 of my friends last night. Was quite disappointed with the food. We ordered 3 meats from the charcoal grill section, belly pork, bulgogi chicken and beef. The belly pork was quite tasteless. The beef and chicken were seasoned correctly but the beef was very gristly. We also ordered Korean noodles, seafood pancake and a very oily chilli squid dish. Portions were on the small side, overall a very mediocre experience.

Excellent service, we had the bar-b-que food ordered separately from the menu not banquet (the banquet didn't look worth the money), the meat was all cooked at the table, and was excellent. Staff were very polite and friendly even though we were last to leave from a booking at 7.30 on a sat night. Am going back this saturday too!

What a little gem of a place this is. Specialising in charcoal barbeque at the table, this place has few pretensions other than serving up great tasting and inexpensive Korean food.

There were four of us and we tried a mixture of barbeque meats (beef, pork, pork spare ribs and chicken) plus the kimchi. To be honest, the meat was good but the highlight is the kimchi. The food here can be seriously spicy so let the waiters know what you can handle.

The pickled cabbage and marinated potatoes were particularly good and I recommend getting a side order of chilli sauce. This is food that tastes different so be prepared for strong flavors but it is all very accessible.

Our total food bill was $75 and that was more than enough for 4 people. The service was good but we were virtually the only ones there, the ambience was fine which is saying a lot in a near empty restaurant but we were just having such a great time with the food.

Value.....can't fault it. Try this place, you will not be disappointed.

I had dinner for 8 at Korea Palace on the weekend. It was rather quiet for a weekend. The food was great and service was friendly. One particular dish was quite the favourite that we had to order more. (Though I forgot its name.) It's definitely underrated and needs more guests to give it a warmer atmosphere.

An excellent place for authentic Korean food. The dishes we ordered were just like those my mother makes at home. Excellent service and very friendly staff. Highly recommended.

We just had dinner here last weekend (15 September). The placed looked nice enough (not too fancy, but clean and nicely decorated). The place was empty at 9 pm, but we just assumed that it may have been a little late for dinner. We were hoping for some good authentic Korea food while visiting Melbourne.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the food, it was medicore (at best). We did not try the Korean BBQ. I guess it could be great here (although I would not expect it to be good or very authentic because the dishes that we tried were tasteless). I would definitely suggest that you look for another place. There has to be much better places in Melbourne to get some good Korean food!

The food was excellent and so fresh, the service was amazing, loved the attention to detail, right down to the cups and saucers. Very affordable and amazing.
