We dined at Kojo Brown on 25 May 2012. We had a fantastic dining experience. The food was fresh, perfectly cooked and presented, and it tasted fantastic. The choices were quite varied.

The service was extremely efficient but not intrusive. The staff (young Japanese lady and the Chef) were incredibly friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.

We will certainly be returning to Kojos on our next visit to Melbourne and would recommend that you dine there.

We had a beautiful dining experience. There were six of us in total with two children and four adults. We purchased vouchers as we live in the outer suburbs and like to try different city side restaurants on a weekly basis. My nephew had wedges which he approved of as it was a large hefty serving. We had two serves of calamari, two serves of king prawns, a haloumi concoction and some amazing chicken drumsticks.

Everything was perfect. We had waited till we ate our tapas but were so impressed, kept eating. We ordered the Baked barramundi with apple, grapefruit and fennel salad and the lamb salad and they were insatiable. Unbelievably tender and just melted in your mouth. I even had dessert, which was the walnut, fig and macadamia flour less cake and once again was beautiful. The male waiter was the stand out and attended to us very well and even took note of the children which is rare to see.

Overall an impressive dining experience. We will be back (that lamb salad is to die for).

This restaurant would have to be one of my little hidden Richmond treasures. The food is absolutely phenomenal and I can't say I have ever been disappointed with the quality of it. The seafood is always fresh, meats are always so tender, and all the portions are always very generous. I started coming here afew years back and after trying something as simple as their chicken focaccia, it was enough to get me hooked!

Wonderful service everytime, staff are always all smiles. Will be a customer for as long as I am around! Kojo has definitely set a standard that other establishments need to work up to. Great work guys, bless.

Kojo Brown was amazing! I had fish of the day and my partner had the vegetarian Gnocchi, absolutely divine. The food is the best I have had at a restaurant in a long time. It also had a nice relaxing ambience. Good restaurant for couples to go to. Thumbs up!

The service here is appalling. The senior staff/waiter seems to act like he is doing you a favour if he decides to bother to take your order. Which he doesn't for a good 20-30 minutes or until he feels like it. Don't go here.

We had a casual weeknight dinner, and liked both the gnocchi and the duck risotto. Both dishes exhibited a bit of flair, which was good to see. Great range of cakes for dessert (the sign says they're all made on the premises), and the wine list was ok, too. The room is nice and we had good wait service (for drinks, coffee, dessert), although, perhaps, the kitchen could have been just slightly quicker.

Kojo Brown is a lovely space and the atmosphere is very nice, but it is consistently dreadful in terms of service and sometimes food. I've twice been overcharged, have had to wait up to 20 minutes to order a coffee or meal, and my coffee regularly goes missing and I have to ask where it is. And, unfortunately, they don't know how to poach an egg. It should not be hard-boiled.

I really enjoyed dinner at Kojo Browns after having not been there for a year or so. The wine list had a good selection that was reasonably priced and likewise the food was good value and enjoyable. Great choice for an easy week night dinner.

Delicious breakfast, the eggs are always cooked perfectly and I continue not to be disappointed. One of my favourite breakfast places.

Nice simple food and weekend breakies are terrific. Tapas on Saturday night are great. Love the nice cosy feel and ambience of the place. Much more relaxed than some of its rivals up the road.
