Food was horrible, not fresh. Parma looked like it was definitely not fresh.
Came out cold, and when it was returned told that they were going to remake it. Same piece came back refried with extra cheese.

The second time we have eaten there and it just never disappoints! We purchased a "voucher" (always a little sceptical!) but the food, service, ambience on yet another occasion was just 100%, it's such a rarity to combine all of the above but the Boulevard certainly ticks all the boxes!
Well done and we shall certainly be repeat customers with recommendations all around! Cheers and thanks once again for a super evening!

Really, really average food. All the roasts were moist, but they were bland and tasted like what a very average housewife would cook in the mid-1960s. Got the $50 'family' pack. And by 'family', it just fed 2 full grown males. Small meat portion sizes. This place is just really poor value for money and very very average. Avoid.

Absolutely love it here. I live down the road and come at least twice a week.
I may be bias as I've only ever ordered one dish, the chicken with dried chillies and cashews. I can't get enough of it. This dish is usually sickly sweet but I've never experiences that here. They give you disappointing loads of food for what you pay for!
I'm always greeted with a beaming smile and a glass of water. My one negative is they don't make their own roti. Love you guys, thanks for making my cheat nights awesome.

Both myself and my partner ordered poached eggs served on sourdough with smoked salmon and hollandaise, very simple but delicious when done right. This particular rendition was so-so. Nothing stood out except the rather rude service from the waitress. Really wish we had opted to eat elsewhere. Would like to explore the nursery at some point in the future but will skip the cafe without question.

MoMo and Coco reviewed St Katherine's, Kew

Quoting from two of MoMo & Coco’s favourite authors, all happy families resemble one another, but each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way. It is therefore a truth universally acknowledged that everyone has relations who are difficult to please. If the CBD is too far, immediate local is lacklustre, fine dining is too expensive because there is no special occasion, casual is not adequately classy and often too noisy, where does one go?
As one of a handful of new restaurants awakening in nearby, sleepy inner-city suburban surroundings, St Katherine’s ticked MoMo & Coco’s initial reconnaissance criteria. Located at the intersection of busy tram routes, behind a somewhat inconspicuous Mediterranean-inspired white-washed frontage, through heavy doors, a babble of hearty greetings welcomes you. Melding the energy of a popular dining spot with a certain degree of the understated refinement characteristic of Melbourne’s well-heeled eastern suburbs, it is decked out in warm caramel honey tones, glossy white tiles, and exposed industrial lighting.
Towards the back of the venue, there’s a huge communal table for inter-generational family gatherings, while a semi-open kitchen provides views of a hefty rotisserie and wood-fire oven.
In this day and age, the papers are dotted with the many ways in which ill-managed subsidiaries and related entities can become the downfall of the parent company. Two restaurants in the same corporate family — the seductive harem den of Maha and the polished Little Press – have provided some very memorable dining experiences, and are two of MoMo & Coco’s long-standing, consistently reliable favourites.
We now add St Katherine’s to our list, a less rowdy, less rustic version of Hellenic Republic, but just as soulful, with an extra dash of class. Possessing the broad palate appeal of Mediterranean cuisine, the food isn’t memorable in the same way as at Maha or Little Press. It’s uncomplicated, unfussy. Generational bridge-mending and family-friendly in the other, just-as-important aspects of a dining-out experience — price, service, atmosphere, locality. A heaven-sent dining gem to appease difficult relations.

Another addition to the great places to hang in Kew! And this one does a wonderful coffee!
Not long opened and looking good! Gorgeous decor and love the big bright yellow aeroplane – Percy’s probably! And the matching yellow coffee machine! The menu is a good mix of easy going dishes for lunch, flat breads filled with lamb and feta and chicken and stuffing, big boy homemade sausage rolls, salads and sandwiches but we cannot go paste Percy’s special pot pie!.. read more at my blog

Brilliant, friendly, lovely staff! Gorgeous food, yummy cakes and a damn fine cup of coffee! It’s a short visit for a much needed coffee and it is a cup of joy, it looks just beautiful! We are in between breakie and lunch but that doesn’t stop us getting a few of the delicious cakes they have, to share of course!.

Burrata cheese with a roasted butternut pumpkin salad, black rice fritters, candied walnuts + wild rocket is divine! Like a mozzarella but more creamy and loose, as per our friends at Wikipedia – When making Burrata, the still-hot cheese is formed into a pouch, which is then filled with scraps of leftover mozzarella and topped off with fresh cream before closing. The finished Burrata is traditionally tied to form a little brioche-like topknot, and moistened with a little whey.
It is gorgeous, smooth, creamy and with the black rice fritters that I adore!.

The 3 course sharing lunch option makes it all quick and easy, at $40 a head with a nice bottle of Kooyung Chardonnay on top and we are set for catch up and conversations!
Mini lamb koftas with humous, seeds and cucumber ribbons is delish! BBQ charring flavours and light fresh cucumber with a grounding of chickpea and tahini is a great start, other dishes arrive including a great cabbage and cauliflower salad dyed pick with a beetroot vinegar ( I think!).

It’s a beautiful sunny afternoon, perfect Friday pub lunch weather and the Skinny Dog pub has a great outdoor area, we set ourselves up at one of the tables and the choices are tough!
Parma or steak sandwich? It’s a steak sandwich kinda day!
A generous plate with some fantastic looking fries, crispy, hot, soft centred with a dusting of herbs, I should have got salad but I am glad I didn’t!

I'm another who can't understand the poor reviews given for this venue. My daughter's wedding was held here on Saturday (3 Dec 2011) and it was just a fantastic day! One of the significant contributing factors to the success of the day was the wonderful catering and service provided by the cafe staff. The staff revised the ceremony set up which we had originally planned and we are so glad they did - all the guests who have spoken to me have commented on what a lovely wedding venue it is.
Once the ceremony was complete all of our guests were provided with excellent waiter service of food and drinks. They went about their task in a friendly and efficient way never hesitating to help out any guest who had a query for them about food or drink. Speaking of the food and drink, the food was delicious and I found it almost impossible not to over indulge (as did many of our guests) as plate after plate was set before us. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this venue for a function or pleasant breakfast or lunch.
