Nothing to complain about here. An impressive selection of bento boxes, and decent prices.

NB: Review is for takeout.

To be honest my expectations were pretty low for this place - it looked like a quick and easy J-food joint with non-Japanese speaking staff. However my order came quickly and the food was pretty good on the whole and reasonably priced so it warrants a decent rating.

First up I had the Sashimi / Sushi deluxe platter. This was just average food court grade stuff and not worth it.

For hot food I had the Nasu Dengaku (eggplant with peanut sauce) - which was perfectly cooked - moist and soft and really good. The chicken yakitori was just chicken skewers but again well cooked and nice though dubious authenticity. Finally there was a Wafu Steak - which was again pretty well cooked and a nice light but sweet sauce.

Overall - cheap, good Japanese-ish food that I'd mostly be happy to eat again.

Great food with the perfect serving size, although the beverage selection is limited and they are not licensed. Good atmosphere. Very reasonably priced.

They have an excellent bento deal between 3-5, too bad it's around the time when no one eats. Food here's good, I always come here for their bentos. Don't get their teppanyaki, it's not worth it. The amount you've paid and the servings you get will leave you disappointed. Food's good though. It's a toss up between Kaneda and Kimurakan.
