Extremely bad yum cha & service! Do not go. Surprise they are still surviving.

It was Wednesday afternoon about 1:15 pm and had to wait to even get noticed when there were servers walking up and down right in front of us. For a Yum Cha they had most of the selections either not available or had run out.
The a la carte order that we placed was replaced by cold dishes sitting in the trolley and the server tells us 15 minutes later that the ordered items were not available anyway. Had to run out with two hungry kids.

First time to be here for my dad's 70th birthday. Food and service were excellent. Thumbs up!

The restaurant all feels very nice, with beautiful vistas toward the city, and not the standard garish golden-dragon-style kitsch, but a contemporary temple-style interior.
The three wait staff serving our table were very attentive, I can only give 9/10 for the senior staff who scowled and frowned at everyone entering or leaving the restaurant, which is quite off-putting and is the first and last thing you remember about a place (it is a common mannerism for mainland Chinese).
The food is the most important part of the dining experience (for most people), but our experience was somewhat mixed, the range of Peking-style chicken dishes is excellent, with a variety of tasty thick soups (~$7ea), their seafood was good, if quite expensive ($48 for an abalone dish), they offer a few different fried rice options, which are on par with a good street vendor, all with a generous helping of sodium glutamate, last but not least was the beef, reduced to an boiled lump of gristle dripping in XO sauce (Japanese style!) or try the (oddly similar) Mongolian-style beef, all enjoyed with their anaphylactic favourite glutamate relish.
I suggest you drink plenty of water, (and maybe bring your meds along just in case).

Unfortunately, I can't rate the food because it never came. We waited an hour for our entree to arrive on a not so busy Friday night. We watched as other tables were served their food, despite having ordered after us. Finally we flagged the waitress down and asked her to check how long our food was, she wandered off to the kitchen to check but never came back. We walked out, 1 hour 15 minutes after arriving, disappointed and hungry. Another couple walked out at the same time as us, for the same reason.

Been here a couple of times now both yum cha and dinner. Very good quality food, probably the best yum cha in the area. Dinner service not as good as you would expect in a Western restaurant but the food does come out quickly. Not cheap but some other Chinese restaurants in the area are grossly overpriced in comparison. Very busy for yum cha so get in early.

We ordered a banquet which appeared to be good value for $18 including 2 entrees, a main and rice. The first entree of 1 steamed dim sum was luke warm and they forgot to bring out mine and when asked the waiter tried to tell me that I didn't order the same banquet and was quite rude and arrogant. Eventually a deep fried spring roll was bought out!
The main meal was actually very nice even the steamed rice was luke warm.
However, we ordered 2 cokes and a pot of green tea and the price of a small glass bottle of coke was $4.20 each and the pot of green tea was $6.50. Absolutely outrageous. So no good value after all!

Food is worse than awful, how can you call this a restaurant. Service is well below average, not even comparable to any budget airline. Value, well I can only pick awful, can the web owners put in something like, hmmmm rubbish! total and utter disappointment, I'd much rather eat frozen TV dinner.

I sat in what felt like a shopping mall after waiting 5 minutes for the half empty restaurant to notice I was there. This was Wednesday at 1 pm. I waited and waited for someone to give us a menu and no one did. It was yum cha time obviously and I was starving.
After 15-20 minutes of waiting a trolley came by. We took a couple of dishes saving room for whatever was next but nothing else came by. There were a dozen or so other customers waiting too and nothing came by. Trying to get the staffs attention was pointless they didn't acknowledge me even though I was waving my hand after a while. One guy came around and I asked if anything else was coming and he walked off with a grunt. Nothing came. Not one staff member smiled or made us feel welcome and they were plain ignorant and rude.
The food we had was nice though. What we had of it. Pathetic effort people. Terrible service, worst I have had. I felt like I was sitting in a shopping centre too, not the ambience for a nice yum cha meal. Then after giving up I took my scantily marked bill up to the reception where the guy was busy chatting on the phone for 5 minutes. No acknowledgement nothing. Shame I was in a hurry to get out of there.
Then not even an apology for the delay just a grunt. Yes a grunt! $40 for a few little dim sum baskets and a couple of drinks. Crazy. Worst part is I usually spend $70-80 on yum cha lunch. I would have if they had had something to eat! I took my family there the week before and the food was good but the service was terrible. None of the staff seem to understand english and not one found it in themselves to crack even the hint of a smile. The food at night off the menu is typical chinese stuff, nothing you can't get for half the price elsewhere in Doncaster.
Anyway, my recommendation is don't bother. They have really turned off an Amex Centurion member that eats about $500 of yum cha a month.

We went there second week after it was opened for Yum Cha and wasn't impressed with the fact that we couldn't make a reservation and had to wait for 1 hr for a table and the food was lukewarm. We then went there for fathers' day dinner and what a terrible experience that was. The food took 1 hr to arrive. We paid $125 for a coral trout and first the fish was undercooked, and when brought back from the kitchen again, it was overcooked and dried and chewy.
The seafood/sea-cucumber hot pot dish, for $32, was not worth bothering as everything as chopped to dice-size and no authenticity at all. Very disappointing for a supposedly classy restaurant.
