Ate there with family last night. Premium prices and even more for wine. Food excellent but service amateur for the price you pay. As previous reviewer we had to continually ask for water and wine to be poured and when it was shiraz was topped up into a Pinot glass before we could stop her. Also The bottle of shiraz we ordered was poured without asking anyone to taste it. Wait staff could also not explain any thing about what was in the dishes. Suggest Rockpool as a better option for same money (actually less for the wine).

Quite pricey but good menu offering plenty of choice. Very difficult to get a drink on the restaurant side. Had to ask twice for our wine and three times for a Coke. After that we just sat on water as it was just too hard to get a drink and looking around that's what most of the other patrons seemed to be doing.

Meals were OK - not wonderful. Chef's special of Pork Belly for a main was so disappointing. 1" X 3" pork belly (entree size), two scallops and a carrot that was so thin it looked like it was painted on plate for $41.50.

The job requiring the most attention of the staff was to thoroughly, and in great detail, brush down the tablecloths (with a small brush and pan)in between courses of it's patrons. Maybe trying to appear uppity - I just thought it was rude.

Entree came out at the same time as the main meal. We were there for nearly half an hour before they took our drink order and that was only because they asked if we were ready to order our meal. Fries were cold. No one in the restaurant knew how to smile except for one young lady Tina (who was lovely). Would not recommend this restaurant to any of my friends. Have had better service in small country pubs.

This is one of those restaurants that confuses my internal prejudices.

I shouldn't like it because it's in a large establishment, and run as a business, not as a place that serves as an outlet for a passion for food. The food, the service, and the atmosphere, however, cause me to actually like it!

While the menu hasn't changed a lot since I last went here 4 years ago, the absolute quality and the exceptional service standards have also been maintained.

Don't come here to be part of a food revolution, or to follow your favourite chef but do come here for an exceptional meal in gracious surroundings. (And you can make Pebbles and Bam Bam jokes...).

Cozy fine dining restaurant. Excellent pianist/singer on Thursday nights. A bit pricey but the service and the ambience compensate!

Truly excellent experience. Top class meal and environment. (Even their claim that celebrities use the bar was right, Mark Taylor was in there having a drink.) Yes it is a bit pricey, but we used the Entertainment book card which saved us $33.

I've only ever had great experiences here! Food is absolutely wonderful and the service matches. Yes, you will expect to pay a price for the quality but I do think it's worth spending that little extra (even if it's only for a special occasion). The piano playing in the background creates a lovely, serene atmosphere and if you indulge in their awesome cocktails, you'll be so happy, you won't feel the sting in your pocket!
