    We visited the Imperial to attend a function. On arrival we announced which event we were there to attend and were let into the room to find/interrupt someone elses function. We were then guided to another function room again interrupting speeches of people we didnt know, embarrassing for us and I'm sure the hosts weren't impressed that bouncers just let anyone in to dry up the open bar tab. We finally found the correct party, one friend was refused entry as his trousers didn't met his shoes! he had to go home to change into pants 2 inches longer, one friend was refused entry as he was apparantly too old. I was warned by a male staff member that when sitting on a bar stool, I wasn't to allow my shoes to dangle off my feet. Any drinks placed on the bar were confiscated as they claimed it was a risk of being drugged if so even if you are standing next to it - if it's not in your hand it's classed as 'unattended'. To overcome this issue I purchase bottled water with a screw top lid - this also was removed from our table. But after losing 3 drinks and being constantly harassed by the staff - they majorly messed up our bar tab in our favour so it was a great end to an otherwise unpleasant evening.
