After our drinks order was taken it took about 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. We then ordered our meals (there were 6 of us) and it took about 40 minutes only after I asked how long our meals would be. One of the staff came to our table and spoke to my friend when she was sitting by herself and he was clearly drunk and was very hard to understand, the food was okay vegetables were frozen ones, service was poor and wouldn't recommend it to any one.

Good food. Loud dining room but ambience is great. Good service and meals come out within 5 minutes. Steak or sea food are brilliant. Will recommend to friends and family.

The Hindquarter is a charming cost restaurant serving some of the best steaks my family and I have ever had. The variety of steaks on the menu is amazing and they are cooked to perfection! Good choices for seafood and pasta's too. Great food with very generous servings and fabulous service. Looking forward to eating here again!!

After being recommended to go to the Hind Quarter, a party of 8 of us went there for dinner on Sat night! Well, we waited for two hours to receive our food and when it did finally came one of our party still didn't get his meal so we left with him not having eaten.

The staff were very blase and acted like it was nothing unusual to have such slow service. When we left at 9 pm most of the other tables didn't even have their food yet. The food was tasty, but the service the worst I have ever encountered.

We used to go here years and years ago and always got a good, satisfying meal. Sunday night was the first time we had been back in a very long time and confirmed we would not be returning. Ownership must have changed in our absence and the changes were very obvious.

The waitress was friendly and professional and we received everything we ordered in a timely and professional manner, the food was average. My partners rib eye was grossly undercooked. He ordered his steak medium and received it extremely rare. I ordered the eye fillet, and although it was cooked accurately, I question the quality of the cut. The vegetables were cooked from the freezer, giving them that watery, rubbery consistency we all recognise.

A man came to collect our plates and stopped to speak to us whilst doing so. We assume he was the owner of the restaurant or the bar keep but I struggled to understand him. My partner and I questioned whether he was drunk when he left (After only taking my plate and leaving the rest on the table). We got up to pay the bill without waiting for offer of dessert or coffee.

We left disappointed and confirm we will not return. The young waitress was the only saving grace of the restaurant which now advertises on in big painted letters on the window that it now sells ice by the bag (like a bottle shop).

Our story. We called this restaurant and asked if we needed to book and told no, just come on down. When we arrived the girl asked if it was us that just called and we said yes. Only two other tables were occupied, one of which had finished their meals when we had arrived. We were seated and given our menus. We ordered 2 drinks and a water for our little one, which came ten minutes later (minus the water). Then we waited and waited and waited, for someone to come and take our order.

After 40 minutes (I think we were very patient) and no-one in sight we went to the counter to pay for our drinks. The same girl we spoke to on the phone and that seated us proceeded to take our payment for the drinks without even asking why we were leaving wihtout ordering any meals. When our 4 yr old asked (in front of the girl) why we were leaving without eating, we said we would find another place to eat, she didn't even batter an eyelid!

We then drove to somewhere else in Berwick (which was packed) and had the best food and service, one could ask for. We have never walked out of an eatery before, and are by no means snobs in any way, but that was the poorest excuse for a restaurant. (Alarm bells did start to sound too when we looked over to the finished table and saw three out of the six meals were left untouched)

My partner and I went to this steak house last Saturday Night. We had a bruschetta entrée which was really nice, my partner had a chicken breast stuffed with spinach and sundried tomatoes. Her meal was fantastic, the vegetables great and a very generous serve. I had steak and seafood, my vegies and chips also great, the seafood sauce delicious but my medium rare steak was well and truly overcooked to the point that I couldn't eat it.

I had 3/4's of the steak still sitting on my plate when a waiter swooped past and picked it up without questioning if I was finished and, if so, why I hadn't eaten the steak. I brought this up when paying the bill and they deducted the drinks from the total bill in an attempt to make up for the inconvenience.

I'll be giving them a 2nd chance but I wasn't that pleased with my meal. There were a couple of interesting meals on the menu, one called 'The Big Arsed Seafood platter' and another called 'Man vs Beast', a 1 kilo steak which offers a reward if you can clean your plate. This place is worth a try.

My daughter and her boyfriend recently treated myself and my wife out to dinner at this wonderful steakhouse. The food was delicious, with excellent presentation, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a great wine list and an extensive menu. The service was excellent despite the fact that we dined there on an extremely busy night, and the quality of the food did not suffer despite how busy they were. Will definitely be dining here again!

We dine here on average once a month and haven't yet had a bad experience. We only go on special nights which offers exceptional value. I normally have a steak which is in my view the best steak in the area and has always been cooked the way I ordered.

I was really disappointed with the service and the fact that we waited for nearly 2 hours for our food and we weren't the only ones, nice food when it came.
