Have been going here for breakfast for many years but they seem to be slipping. Had breakfast on Thursday morning and the old policy of no mobile phones has gone so we were serenaded by at least 4 different business men chatting away happily without any concern for other patrons.

The food prices remain the same but the quantity of at least the avocado and pancetta on toast has halved from 2 pieces to one and the flavour of the baked beans was watery and bland compared to the great flavour they used to have. They do still do great crispy bacon and their serves of regular scrambled eggs (I do not recommend the truffled ones) is large for the hungry folk.

If they step up the rather pathetic service (no water top up, meals arriving seconds before people who had ordered 15 minutes after us received theirs, lack of cutlery and napkins etc) standards then I will continue to go for breakfast but if not then there are plenty of other choices out there.

Nice spot outside amongst the ivy to have a quiet lunch. Service ok. Food was a letdown, and represented poor modest value.

Two small zucchini with flowers stuffed with a little feta, then fried tempura style, accompanied by some orange slices, shaved fennel and a very heavy creamy fennel bread sauce that overwhelmed the delicate flavours. "Wasabi crusted" beef carpaccio had no wasabi, plain sesame seeds and thinly sliced nondescript fillet, with some shaved radish, fried shallots, garlic and a sesame soy coriander and lemon dressing.

Service was very poor despite the restaurant being half full. They don't assign waiters to tables so it is easy to be missed. It seems quite pretentious. Not good value for money. We will not be back.

Great food (breakfast especially). Service is not that genuine, atmosphere inside is very boring, sit outside weather permitting. Unfortunately this is as good as is gets in South Yarra, so if I am in the area, I will be back.

We ate a delicious breakfast here - pricey but tasty! They even make their own baked beans! Very South Yarra in style and clientèle but very good food at a premium price!
