The newly renovated Grosvenor Hotel offers the best of the Italian lifestyle in a urban industrial setting. Relax in our wine bar / pizzeria from midday 7 days a week and enjoy a selection of small dishes from our antipasto display or try one of our beautiful wood fired pizze. An extensive wine, spirit and beer list is available until 1am on the veranda, in front of the fire or in the middle of all the action in the bar. The Bistro offers sophisticated dining with a truly rustic alacarte Italian menu, open every evening from 6.00pm with olive green banquettes, dark wooden floors and professional service it is perfect for an intimate dinner for two or a larger group. The Grosvenor has two dedicated functions areas catering for 10 – 150 guests. Our newly renovated private dining room enjoys floor to ceiling windows, modern chandeliers and a fireplace whilst our upstairs venue is a ‘one of a kind’ function space consisting of bar, dance floor and mingling areas all off a spectacular mirrored walkway. The new look Grosvenor what a make up from the last time I was there, owned in the same interests as the ppl owning the point in albert park. The waitress adviced that they were busy and there could be delays which suited us as we were in no hurry but nice to tell us.

The food was typically italian antipasti for entree. Pastas and about 7 mains. I had the veal for main was good but not great. Better was the quail entree the salad part of it was a highlight. A side of eggplant chips was also a winner. Dessert of crema cotta was also divine. An excellent wine and beer list and good service made from a excellent night I shall return in the new year.
