Comments pretty much reflect the experience of other diners'. Service was appalling, especially when the restaurant was only a quarter full. Other diners' on the night seemed to be frustrated with the lack of attention they were getting too.

The staff were also inflexible with swapping the potato gratin (which is served with all grilled meats) for chips. The meat was good and cooked to our liking. Service needs to improve. Best thing about the meal, is that this restaurant is in the Entertainment Book entitling you to a complementary main meal.

Terrible service. The waiter tried to bring us drinks that weren't ours. Then when we ordered the waitress could not understand simple requests and we had to repeat ourselves on a number of occasions.

The food took 1 hr and 15 minutes to get to us and they forgot the side we ordered so we had to wait again. We were on the verge of walking out. The steak was nice, though some parts tasted charred and burnt (did not request well done).

Overpriced, disappointing service and they tried to overcharge us. Do not recommend to Anybody!

A thursday evening dinner for 4 of us when visiting Melbourne recently. The steaks were fine, tasty and prepared to our liking. The service unfortunately not up to standard as we seemed to chase wait staff for service. I thought that $5 for extra sauce on the side was in poor taste. Overall Ok but would never return.

Had Christmas Lunch here in 2010, 1.30 pm sitting, not seated until 2.30 pm as they had not hurried out the previous group (whose meal had supposedly ended at 1.00). Offered a free cheap champers while waiting, but wouldn't substitute beer for the blokes. Service truly dreadful, ages to give us a menu, take our order or bring our drinks. Entrees arrived 3.20 pm, mains after 4.00 pm!

By this time the children, who only had main and dessert ($59 each) were very very hungry indeed. Re the drinks, wouldn't they would serve these quickly as not included in lunch price and way to make some extra $$. Waitress arrived twice with glasses of Pepsi, not ordered by our table at all, my brother said "if no-one wants it, I'll take it" and guess what, they added $13 to the bill for these drinks that had not even been ordered!

Food was good, great steaks, smallish dessert serves, but honestly I will not go back due to the appalling service. If you're going to open on Christmas Day, manage your dining room better and put on enough staff.

My husband and I were visiting from Sydney and decided to visit Docklands in the hope of finding a nice restaurant with first class service. Restaurants seemed quiet on a Tuesday, however, the Steakhouse was buzzing so we decided to go in. The senior staff seemed disinterested and cut off from the world in sitting us down by the bar and then introducing us to our tables. We then found out that it was Super Tuesday.

Waitresses also seemed disengaged and there was no courtesy, customer/guest greetings or thanks from the senior staff when we paid our bill by the counter. Felt like it was only a transaction without any sort of personal touch.

Food was as you'd expect from a steakhouse and we thought $5 for sauce was a bit much. The bill was $80 post discount of supposed $60. 1 drink and a salad.
Initially, I thought they were having a bad day, personal issues, etc but reading the ratings on here, turns out we weren't the only ones who's had bad experience.

Would not recommend to anyone nor visit again, as I'm sure there are plenty of restaurants with good customer service and attentiveness located, perhaps, only next door. Thank you.

The service on a Saturday night was terrible. We ordered garlic bread as a starter, but they forgot it. We asked for water 3 times and never got it and it was hard to get the waiters attention. It seemed as though they were a couple of waiters short.
That said my steak was superb. Perfectly cook, nice and tender, and great taste. The food really was worth it.

If the service was better it would have been a great experience, and would definitely recommend it. That said I will be going back some time, and hopefully the service will be better.

Paying $5 for a pepper sauce that the waiter slight spilt on me and no air on a 30 degree day took away from a pleasant experience.

The restaurant ambience is nice and warm, just like the service you will get at this steakhouse. I ordered the green side salad and the new york steak medium-rare, however, it came to me rather 'medium', however, not my preference, the steak it self was still beautiful to eat. The potato gratin which comes with all steaks is divine. The green salad, which I would have to say is overpriced was nice enough. I would come back here and I would recommend this to my friends and family.

Went and ate here on the weekend. The staff were friendly and attentive. We started with the spicy calamari for a shared entree. It was absolutely lovely, the calamari was not chewy. Then we waited for another 40-50 minutes for our mains to arrive as the husband ordered a well done steak and we were told up front that it would take a while to get to us.

I had ordered a medium rare black Angus steak (can't remember which one). I would have enjoyed my food immensely if we didn't have to rush at eating it. By the time our food came we had about 30 minutes to eat it before we would have to rush off to Cirque du soleil. I'd definitely like to eat here again, and hopefully spend more time savouring my meal.

Overall the steak was perfectly cooked. It was so juicy and delicious and the right kind of pink in the middle for my liking.
