The service was so slow. The waitresses seemed clueless and kept apologising for the 'miscommunication'! There was no miscommunication. We just wanted to be served the food we had ordered-plain and simple. It took well over an hour to be served our main meal and it took half an hour to bring us our bill! The were unprofessional and unpleasant. The food was so overpriced for the quality and amount you receive. The mousaka was the worst Ive had anywhere. Never going back.

Everytime we head to the Greek Deli, and it's been a few times, they never fail to deliver. On my last visit with a friend, they bent over backwards to make sure our every need was catered for and the food was fantastic! Great wine selection and attentive service! See you all again soon and thanks for a great experience!

Very pricey for what you get. Sagnaki very good but other dishes at 27 a pop not great at all. Lamb very average Mousaka good, greek salad good. Charge extra for extra bread.

This restaurant came well recommended by the concierge at the Como Hotel who told me that it is Marcus Baghdatis second home when it town for the open. As the name implies there was a homely taverna feel to the layout and the décor made it inviting enough for my work colleague and I to contemplate a longer than usual lunch. We first shared a mixed platter which arrived with a sense of fan fair from the lovely waitress.

After grazing on the delicious grilled octopus, dips, olives and spanakopita another glass of a NZ Riesling was in order. The entrée would have been satisfying by itself although the unassuming service and late afternoon sun filtering through the front window encouraged us to linger. We followed with the Chilli Mussels which was delicious and then some very tender lamb cutlets which were matched with a fruit driven Heathcote Shiraz that was recommended by the well informed staff.

Thanks Greek Deli for a great afternoon with beautiful food, friendly staff and an ambience that makes you linger longer. Needless to say, if it’s good enough for Marcus it’s good enough for me. I’ll be back with the family next time.

Very tight on food!, we all got the $55 buffet x 5 people, we all shared one vary small meat platter, one saganaki and a small salad between us all and one prawn each, we all left feeling very hungry, I will never be visiting this place again.

This is a beautiful restaurant. We were treated to wonderful tender lamb, tasty dipping plate, and authentic Greek wine. There were 2 musicians playing background music and joined later by a third playing violin, guitar and bouzouki and crooning gentlly. Although we ate early and they were clearly filling tables for a second sitting.

They were quite happy for us to linger over another bottle of wine. The owner chatted with us and all the staff were friendly. Cannot speak highly enough and this restaurant made our trip from Perth something to really remember for a long time to come. Hence the above rating!

We really enjoyed this restaurant. We visited on a Sunday night and were pleased to listen to live music which had started early. That's good because sometimes you have to wait until 9 pm sometimes for anything resembling live music. So the atmosphere was excellent. The waiting staff were excellent. We has three different waitresses attend to us and all were polite, clever and efficient. The food was spot on. Very enjoyable and would recommend to all.

I went to this tavern with a group of friends expecting to have a fabulous time and abuse is what we received! We had specifically pre-booked the $37.50 buffet and when the muscles came out, we called the waiter and told her that we didn't order the muscles! The senior staff came over and said we Did order that buffet and that he "didn't give a shit". He actually used those words! My husband, the calm, diplomatic one in the family, told him to go and check the booking form because we didn't actually book that buffet.

The senior staff left and never said anything about it again. We were charged the $37.50 buffet, but also noticed a $29.50 bottle of wine on the bill which we didn't order as well! Luckily I checked it carefully! After that incident, my night was ruined completely and I couldn't enjoy myself! Never again will I attend this Taverna.
