Don't bother. Rude service for take away. And are rude about it when they get your order wrong. Dumplings could be alot better.

Take-away food (15/03/2011). Thought we'd try a different local Chinese restaurant take-away tonight. Very disappointed. Chicken blackbean: insipid, watered down, tasteless. Overcooked carrots. Disgusting big hunks of gnarly chicken that tasted recooked. Fried rice: exceedingly bland and greasy.

Lemon chicken: soggy and tasteless (a hole/vent in one corner of the plastic container lid would have helped avoid sogginess). Sauce unappetising, thin and watery.

Food was inedible. A waste of money.

Food was excellent, 1st time there for yum cha (10/10/10) most of the staff were very friendly except for one older lady. Place was clean bright airy. There was a constant flow of dishes, except for desserts where very limited, will be back without a doubt. This place was tops.

Went saturday night, great meal, fav was the honey and peppercorn pork spare ribs! and of course the chinese tea. Excellent service with very knowlegeable staff. Will be back.

For a Yum Cha place so far away from asian areas like springvale and boxhill this place wasn't too bad. Food did not have the same variety as other places like shark fin/dragon boat and it only tasted a little tiny bit worse but still acceptable.

Ambience is very nice and peaceful. Plus side is this place is nowhere near as crowded as sharkfin so we don't need to sit there waiting for trolleys or waiters to serve us.

I heard you can tell how good service is by taking the lid off your tea pot and seeing how long they take to refill it. Ideally it should be the instant you take the lid off because they should be watching you all the time. About 4 seconds at golden leaf but I attribute that mostly to it being so quite.

Price is the same as other yum cha houses close by.

Yum Cha for lunch! We had sat down at the table for only a few minutes and the trolleys started coming around. Good selection of Chinese dumplings (prawns, chicken, pork), pies, tarts and the usual fare. The greens were too late coming out so we could not fit them in! Good value and authentic tastes. For the two of us it was $40.

We went on Saturday night, there were very few people seated in the restaurant, about 4 -5 tables of people. We had ordered, and continually had to ask how long the food we ordered would be. It took 30 minutes for them to simply fry up some spring rolls and dim sums. Finally they came, and hungry, expecting the mains were not that far off but 1 hr had passed and still no food after several times of asking and continually being told that it would be not much longer.

As my 3 year old son was very restless we ended up leaving about 1 hr 45 minutes after ordering our meals and only getting entrees. There were many people ordering take away (at least 10 different customers came and ordered throughout the whole time we were there), and those who had ordered at the desk, generally waited about 15 minutes before they left with their bags of containers of food.

I would have thought, first come first serve, but it just wasn't the case. Eating in the restaurant made you lower priority. Plus the tables were very uncomfortable as there was a bar that blocked your legs from going under the table, so we ended up sitting to the sides. On a better note, we had ordered take away previously and the food had been fantastic! Best chinese around town. Just don't dine in!

Great service with a smile, nothing was a problem. They also are child friendly and the price was fantastic $40.00 for the three of us. We had yum cha yum yum yum yum.
