Ate there last week with a friend. We ordered the "sunday night special" at $25 each. The bill with 3 lassi was $87.00. Go figure? Last time we go there, with understanding the food business is a tough one, ripping off your clientele is a sure way the alienate local trade. Take a look at yourselves Ginger Garlic, and the lady who serves, beware of her bill! My $87 could have been better spent.

Very enjoyable place to eat at. Nice and full of flavour and not over spiced.

We last visited years ago, but should have gone there sooner. We had the lamb leg and fish. The waitress suggested rice with mint and coriander, it was delicious. A bit inconsistent, but good value.

Being new to the area we had really been looking forward to trying this restaurant. When we ordered, we were told that wouldn't be enough (are we 5?). We ordered more (sigh) and yes the food was lovely, despite a drink being forgotten and our bread being the wrong one. However, when we asked to take the extra food home that we couldn't eat (funny that), we were looked at like we were lepers, "no, oh no. we don't do that"
After paying over $60 for the two of us, I didn't appreciate being made to feel like I had asked something that was inappropriate. Management, listen to these complaints, they are tainting your reputation.

The food is exquisite at Ginger Garlic. Just don't be surprised when your talked into over ordering by a pushy waiter explaining it couldn't possibly be enough for your dining table. Sure this is fine until you find out you can't take your meals home if you can't eat them. Although they offer takeaway all the same. Disappointing and quite rude staff don't add to the ambience. But they do serve great food if you're up for a challenge.

Lovely little place, yummy food. Don't look in the kitchen it would be a nightmare to clean around all the clutter. I keep going back, again and again.

Food was delicious, ordered a prawn dish. Host was really lovely. Highly recommend but make sure it's with close friends, and the seating is in very close quarters. We were up against a wall and it was a good thing we didn't need to go to the toilet during the meal.

Great food here. Servings are small, but satisfying. My only complaint was the lack of room. It's a small restaurant and tables are very close together. Perhaps, ordering takeaway might be easier? However, the service is great and it is very friendly and welcoming.

One of the best Indian restaurants in the northern suburbs. We've been here 3 times, and the food has always been fantastic. I particularly like the Punjabi samosas. The curry's and breads are flavorsome, and they deliver the goods when you request hot. The restaurant can get pretty crowded, though. It can be a chore getting up from your table as other diners sometimes have to move out of the way. But Eltham is a friendly place, so nobody ever minds. There's an outdoor area, too. Perfect for warm summer nights. Highly recommended.
