3rd time I and 2 others have eaten in 2 years. Such tasteful well presented food in a quaint old building. Certainly worth the trip to Geppetto (father of Pinochio)..

After being recommended by some locals, we tried this well known (locally) trattoria as we were told they specialized in offal and slow cooked dishes. I thoroughly enjoyed the starter of ox tripe and my wife thought the same of her baby octopus salad.

However my main of roasted pork hock was the star for me. I managed to pinch some of the wives Gnocchi gorgonzola and thought they were just great. The place itself had a very homely feel and thought the staff were quite thorough and friendly. Good find.

Having ignored us for 15 minutes after being seated, they were painfully slow to serve the entrees. We had to ask for our main meals twice and when they finally arrived the proprietor stated: "This isn't McDonalds and quality takes time". By "quality" he must have meant one mussel and one tiny prawn in the seafood lasagne entree and the lack of blue cheese in a dish with blue cheese sauce.

There seemed to be quite a degree of friction between the male staff, who were father and son, and the young guy seemed busier than anybody else and was the only one who was in any way apologetic. One really annoying aspect was that diners who came in and ordered after us got their meals before we did, and they were obviuosly known to the management.

The female serving had the audacity to say we hadn't been waiting long (we got our mains 90 minutes after arriving) and this mob has arrogance to blame for not receiving a tip.
