GAIJIN Japanese Fusion offers a refreshing contemporary Japanese cuisine and aims to be the best in fusion sushi and stay affordable.

GAIJIN's menu is inspired by executive chef Toar Christopher, a proprietor of a modern Japanese restaurant chain in Asia. He started a career as a sushi chef by working in various Japanese kitchens in the United States, and at the same time was trained by a number of celebrity chefs, including Shigeo Yamane who first turned Christopher as a sushi chef. Christopher has invented several signature sauces for GAIJIN that will blow your mind away!

If you're into Japanese food and you don't mind getting something "not so authentic", this is the place to go. Value for money, the food is just simple delicious and reasonably priced too. The crispy soft shell crab is a must try starter, it's just fantastic.

However, we're a bit let down by the service. Obviously lack of staff, we have to wait for a while at the door without any staff in view. Requested for the green tea to be refilled and it took 2 request before we finally had it refilled.

Other than that, everything is just great.

Delicious sushi! I am a sushi lover and have tried many types of sushi, but would have to say that this is one of the best. The Dynamite sushi rolls for appetizer were absolutely divine! We then ordered two of the combo sushi platters which were great. Our bill came to $80 which included 3 appetizers and 2 sushi platters which was excellent value and we were so full! I tried the tofu salad due to someone's recommendation below. However, I didn't find this to be anything special - it just seemed like it was cold tofu from a pack with mayo. Regardless, it was the best meal I have had in a long time. I am very keen to go back for the all you can eat. The service was great too - the girl made some very good recommendations.

I visited Gaijin after seeing it was a featured restaurant on this website and was blown away. The food was absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed the fresh nigiri and tempura prawn as an entree followed by a delicious main of spicy chicken sushi. Everything was of the highest standard, friendly staff, well decorated place, clean and well priced. I will be going back and bringing some friends for an evening in, they're very trendy japanese style seating arrangements.

Wow! Hunted for a Japanese restaurant recently and found Gaijin. I am hard to please but these guys did a great job. The word traditional is arguably misused because they have taken a very modern approach to sushi but they have done an excellent job. The meals are very well priced and the size of the serves is excellent. Very cleverly thought out options in the various sushi rolls and I highly recommend the tofu salad. (Even though I don't eat tofu normally).

The tuna sashimi was categorically the best I have ever had. The only thing I could suggest is remove the mayo from some dishes. Awesome food lovely staff and great ambience. Well done.
