Overview of Front Cooking School & Bistro

Front Cooking School is located in a magnificent, restored Victorian mansion and offers a range of gourmet group cooking classes for all occasions including corporate team days, demonstrations, kids’ lessons, birthday parties, special events, and much more.

Front Bistro is open Wednesday to Saturday, as well as hosting regular special events such as wine tasting nights. Our tapas menu will impress!

Our function rooms are also available to hire for private dining, Christmas functions, business meetings and client entertainment.

    Recently I enjoyed a six course degustation dinner here and wasn't sure what to expect what with the restaurant being on Lygon Street. But my guests and I were truly blown away by the meal. Everything is of the highest quality, really refined, beautiful presentation plus delicate and amazing flavours. There were some standouts for me - the soybean rolled soft shell crab sushi roll - in a word incredible! And the handicraft required to make this zucchini wrapped scallop with lemongrass broth was just amazing. Definitely check it out - worth the visit to Lygon Street.
