Sorry for anyone who got the bad experience with Thai food. But for me Fresh Chilli Thai restaurant is incredible both in food and service. Since the first day until now they still the best.

This restaurant has a great decor and fantastic service, but unfortunately falls short on the authenticity of the Thai food. We ordered a Pla Rad Prik (Thai Style Fish in a Chilli Sauce) for take-away which came out as a fish dish with soy sauce based gravy/soup which was quite surprising. We felt somehow cheated as you can't really tell if you get what you order until you get home and open the container. Also they charged us $18.90 although it was written $16.90 in the takeaway menu. Thankfully, it tasted quite okay, although it was definitely a wrong dish.
In terms of value, unfortunately it still worth to go to Lygon Street or the CBD for cheaper Thai food with blazingly hot and authentic taste. However I hope that the management would read and consider this review as more and more people who are Thai-savvy are moving into this area and I wish sincerely that they would improve the quality of the food.

A great place for Thai if you're stuck all the way out in Laverton. the Tom Kha is great, the curries are delicious, and the stir fries are good as well. Try the red duck curry or the masaman. The pad thai is only ok, but the other noodle dishes are great.
