We tried this much raved about restaurant last night and the food was amazing. The Only thing that was extremely disappointing was the over zealous service. I was still eating my Tom yum entree when the mains were delivered and the table was being cleared and reset while we still looking over the bill.

Other than this the food was the best Thai we have had in this area, the decor was clean and upmarket, air con would have been a bonus but the food is well worth the visit.

We'll definitely be back but won't be pushed out the door next time.

Mostly your run of the mill Thai food, though with some items on the menu that you don’t see elsewhere. But all the meals were excellent. Price is very reasonable, especially if you BYO wine as this is generally the killer for the back pocket. The up side of “ambience” is that the decor is tastefully done.

The down side appears to be that, because the food is so good, it appears to be almost always crowded and that makes it very noisy. Possibly the removal of one table (preferably the one we were next to the other night) may help. I guess you can’t blame the restaurant people for the noise from the partons. But, if you can turn down your hearing aid, it’s well worth the effort to dine there.

Great food indeed, I love Thai food and have a few favourite places but I think this one beat all of them! Was really pleasantly surprised as I wasn't expecting to find something like this in Laverton.

The ambience is also great, very nice atmosphere, if not a tiny bit noisier than I would have liked. The let-down? Service. Well, not particularly in bringing the food. But then for not letting us simply alone. We had half-full bowls of rice that the waitress came twice to collect from our table even though we hadn't finished it! In the end we had to make it clear to her that yes, we Do want to eat it!

And yes, once we finished our meal (we were with friends, gathering after a long time) we wanted to sit, enjoy what was left of our wine and have a chat. But then we noticed the anxious glances from the waiters who obviously wanted us out! In the end, a lady came over asking us "Are you expecting anything else?" which to us was the obvious sign to leave. Very, very disappointing.

As I said, fantastic food, but, unfortunately, the last incident is the reason why I won't be going back. When I go to a restaurant, I go there for the socializing as well, not just to be fed, fill my stomach and leave the table. I can do that at home.

All I can say is Wow! Fresh Chilli is a diamond in the rough. For a restaurant in this location to attract the trade it does, it has to be good and it is. No matter what day of the week you go, they are busy. I mean flat out. Don't try and turn up for dinner without a booking. You probably won't get in.

The food is quite simply the best Thai we’ve had. My partner actually goes into raptures when we dine at Fresh Chilli. Subtle flavours that take a moment or two to hit your palate but once they do you are in heaven. Fresh, fragrant and flavours to die for.

As another reviewer said, don’t be put off by the location, however, if you can’t get in to the Laverton restaurant there’s another one at Wyndham Vale – also worth the trip. I highly recommend both.

Fresh chilli is our regular Thai. We usually go with takeaway because the place is always packed, it is worth eating in though. The staff are really friendly and well presented, and the restaurant is really nicely furnished. Don't let the dingy surrounding shops scare you away. The food is the best we've found in the area, I would suggest sticking with the stir fries as the noodle dishes aren't spectacular.

I tried Fresh Chilli as my regular Thai place does not open on a monday. The place was very busy for a monday, but there was more than enough staff to cope. I ordered an entree and a curry for main, the entree was a little overdone but flavour was good. As for the main I had massaman chicken and it had pineapple in it although the menu did not state this and my wife has an allergy to pineapple.

I also found it to be quite watery and a little too sweet for my liking and didn't deliver the true thai flavour I was after. The roti bread was also underdone and was like a soggy dough.

I came to Fresh Chilli just because my favourite thai restaurant across the road was closed. The furnishings are second to none, with comfortable seating, I couldn't believe how busy the place was on a tuesday night! The service was very slow but friendly. The food came out quickly, but I found the taste too 'Australianised' for my liking and not very authentic. The restaurant in general is a bit too impersonal for my liking, and is very noisy.

Thank you again for any helpful recommendation as our management team has been trying so hard to work out on the noise problem. Sooner or later we will be opening another "Fresh Chilli" in Wyndham vale to serve our royal customer in Hopper crossing and Werribee area and hope this will help localising our customers. As our Authentic Thai dishes have been carefully selected and cooked by the very successful Thai chef with more than 15 years experience only to ensure our best quality and taste. Anyhow we will pass your precious comment to our chef to improve and/or be aware.

My husband and I ordered a take away from here once. He thought the food was ok, I on the other hand thought the food was great, I've since ordered takeaway a couple of times when he is away on business. Lovely service, fresh tasty food and good value.

Arrived without a booking, looking for a table for six, and they managed to squeeze us in. Couldn't believe how busy the place was for a Wednesday night! We were left without menus for a while, so we were not hopeful that the service was going to be any good, and there just didn't seem to be enough wait-staff on for the crowd they had in...but we were wrong.

The service was attentive and very friendly, and the waitresses were delightful, as was the food. Very good value overall. True, its not in the nicest area, but I would definitely recommend, and will return.

We love this place. The food is great, the staff are pleasant and go out of their way to make you enjoy your dining experience, and the service is prompt.
