The only thing going for Feddish is its location. It's a disappointment. When you ask for bruschetta for three, why bring four pieces? Main servings were small and overall the experience was only average. I had higher expectations. We had to beg them to bring the bill about five times over 30 minutes, before I finally went to the counter to try to pay. The chairs are uncomfortable and tables very stark - it's very much like sitting in a cafeteria. Hopeless service. Not worth a visit.
Food was poor. Smoked salmon salad had to be sent back as the salmon was off. No apology given. We were the only people in the restaurant (never a good sign) yet hardly any attention was paid to us by the one bored waiter who also forgot to bring me a spoon for my soup. The brownie for dessert was just a piece of chocolate cake. Multiple pieces of cutlery had to be sent back as it wasn't clean. Would never return here and would not recommend.
Service was absolutely terrible!!! First off we were given an outside table when we specifically asked to be inside upon booking, as it is during winter. Then the waiters stuffed up our drink orders and then didn't provide us with steak knives for the ones who ordered steak!
Then the waiters kept staring at us once we had finished our main meals making us feel as if we were not welcome and should leave and so therefore they would not ask us if we wanted to see the dessert menu. After waiting for an hour we eventually gave up and we forced to go elsewhere for dessert to a place nearby which I must say was much better in all aspects anyway!
I definitely do not recommend going to Feddish unless you have a desire to experience extremely rude and incompetent staff.
This place is awful. Soggy nachos. Chicken parmas that are the smallest in Melbourne. Waiters who don't know their menu. Such a waste of a brilliant location.
Note this is a lunch review - evening service appears to be much better. My chicken parma was 2mm thick and was obviously cut in half so for $16 there was not much chicken and it was only half a schnitzel.
The waiter could not answer all the questions about the food and when another diner returned soggy nachos, there was no apology & these were kept on the bill. We had to ask for them to be removed. Would not return for lunch again
One of the worst restaurants I have had the misfortune to experience. Food was of only average quality at best and quantity was pathetic. Various items on the menu were not being served, so I opted for a Chicken Parma'. This came as a paper thin slice of chicken coated in a very ordinary crust and about the size of a chicken wing.
My colleague had the same meal and the same result. Another friend had Nachos and had to send it back, it was so bad (microwaved soggy mess). At the end they still tried to charge for the Nachos. The waiting staff were, slow, totally disinterested and ill informed (didn't know food details). There were very few people there too.
Very nice food. I sat outside so didn't really get to experience the "ambience", but what I saw looked quite nice. Friendly staff and big servings! Worth a look.
Really nice place to eat. Food was great, good portions, tasted wonderful and offered great wine suggestions. Very disappointed that we didn't have time for dessert. A big thumbs up. Check out their artwork too..
Sensational food, excellent location and friendly staff, what more could you ask for? Decor is modern and the vibe intimate. I highly recommend this place!
