    As a recent staying guest at the marriott hotel I took the time to dine in the hotels restaurant essence. On entry to the dining room I was welcomed by the most friendly, hospitable waiter that served me thru the whole evening. He was extremely friendly, obliging and had a great knowledge of the menu. I had the scotch fillet steak in a red wine jus (french mustard on the side) and seasonal veggie. The steak was cooked perfect and although not as tender as eye fillet was certainly not a disappointment. The ambience of the restaurant fine dining with full view of passing parade of people on russell street was great, topped off with the 5 star service made the experience most enjoyable. Happy to pay the price tag and go here again next time I'm staying over or enjoying a theatre show at one of the local theatres i.e. her majestys.
