The Emerald Peacock is the sister venue to The Red Hummingbird. Opening in EARLY 2009 The Emerald Peacock will be a restaurant, bar and rooftop rather like The Red Hummingbird but on a much grander scale!

Emerald Peacock’s rooftop bar epitomises Melbourne. It used to be packed almost immediately after work on Fridays with a line outside but nowadays the general after work crowd has taken over and you’re generally fine to get in. Maybe cause it’s April and getting colder… It’s only towards 8-9pm where it starts to liven up with those dressed to impress and out for a big night.

Rooftop bar is a great spot for Friday after work drinks. However, the doormen are the rudest, nastiest in Melbourne who are on power trips.

Unquestionably one of the best bars in Melbourne, if not the best. The service is great as is the variety of cocktails. Think award winning, Red Hummingbird, in a more spacious relaxing atmosphere. Always filled with a great friendly crowd. Rooftop bar is always a favourite spot for the fresh air as well as the city view. Highly recommend this bar for anything from a drink to a full function. Do not leave til you try the Taj Ice Tea, though I recommend having a couple friends help you finish it.
