Regular in Bistro. Very busy at weekend. Food good value for price. Two kids parties and lazy parents annoying but didn't bother overall.

Went there 12/12/10 great food, good service good value for money. Recommend the Eltham Hotel for a good family place to go.

The rudest waitress I have ever met works during the day in the bistro! Out of 5 meals we ordered only one was ok. Other 4 complained about the food that was not eaten and the girl just said sorry! I think the chef or kitchenhand even carried some of the meals out of the kitchen as there was only 1 staff member to handle food and bar. Would never go back and have told so many people how unpleasant the experience was. Place was empty and I know why!

My young family and I were recommended to re-try the Eltham Hotel now that it is refurbed and family friendly, the kids instantly loved the play area, and we were seated nearby so we could comfortably see the kids, meals were a bit pricy but the food was nice.

Ants crawling up the wall and onto our table though, and one man who got our order wrong was very abusive when I asked didn't this meal come with chips as well, to be told, "you ordered the entree', not the main you get what you order" needless to day we did not order an entree and my meal of three calamari with a tiny salad was not the main that I ordered. He was rude, intimidating and unapologetic, he ruined our evening and my husband was forced to stand up and defend my order after this waiter so rudely spoke to me disrespecting our family. Will not return.

Mmm have been there a few times, and I will just say do not eat in the sports bar. I had a special there it was a pie dish, both me and my mother could not eat it. It tasted like cat food. But have been in the restaurant prior and food was nice.

This rating applies to the bar menu only. I have eaten there twice and both times the food was cold. The first time we didn't say anything but the second time we sent it back. When it came back, it was barely more tepid than the first time.
