Great food. Great Service. The Spaghetti alla Chittara alone is worth the trip, but the sticky fig pudding is the icing on the cake. Will definitely go back again.

Absolutely brilliant! Went with my partner on Valentines it was our fourth visit to Ecco. Great service from start to finish despite how busy it was. We had a beautiful focaccia to start with from the wood oven and then a delcious spaghetti and fish parcel (both very traditional Italian recipes). Dessert was home made and incredible (a chilli chocolate mousse) and staff are always excellent in helping with a wine. Am booking a function upstairs for later this year. Highly recommended!

I loved it! Authentic flavours, simple but really fresh and very good value. Pasta with prawns and mushroom in pink brandy sauce was superb and so was the pizza my friend had, the real deal! Pannacotta with berries was the best I had in a long time, maybe since my last time in Italy! The wine list seemed quite extensive without being pretentious or daunting. I could see myself becoming a regular customer very easily! Nice italian vibe too from waiters.

Overall, terrible! Booked 2 weeks prior for a romantic valentines day dinner but when we arrived we were seated 'upstairs' away from the ambiance on our own, despite there being tables available downstairs. Food was so bad. Ordered an antipasto platter for 2 but everything came in serves of 1, most of it seemed to have been stored in a jar in the fridge for quite some time. Rocket salad was a handful of wilted rocket, 2 cherry tomatoes and a few flakes of parmesan cheese - no dressing. Don't even start me on the terrible mains, it's too depressing. We chose this place because it was the only restaurant on Toorak Rd we hadn't eaten at and I would not recommend it to anyone. The staff had so much attitude, we could not get an ice bucket for our champagne and the 'specials' were not even mentioned. I have honestly never been so disappointed by a restaurant. Epic fail!

I thought it was pretty good. The pasta dish I had was unbelievable! However, the bruschetta was lacking. The price was ok, but I have to agree with lutusseed, I too got the impression that it was an inconvenience to them that we were there. Although they tried their best to be friendly it was pretty obvious that the wait staff either hate their jobs or we smelt or something?

I don't know what these other guys are talking about. Friendly? Cosy? From the moment we walked in we felt like we were intruders. The staff didn't seem to care and when we ordered two glasses of mineral water they brought out two opened 500ml bottles (more than we could hope to finish in our short stay). We came in for a light meal and to have a chat but left feeling we'd bothered them. And the food wasn't much chop either. Certainly not worth the $$$.

Great food, very tasty. Lots on offer on the menu and some great specials as well. Make sure you leave room for dessert! Lovely relaxed, cosy atmosphere, really friendly staff and a nice traditional feel to the place. Will definitely be coming back here.

Very nice food, but a little on the steep side. Really, just a little. Definitely worth it if you're in the area. A beautiful little place, very friendly and attentive staff, prompt service. Fantastic coffee.

Food is great, the clay oven gives it a relaxing athmosphere and warms the place, check the specials as they offer a great variety. During winter the soups are a must! Who to bring along? Your partner as it is relaxed to catch up for quiet dinner for two. Would recommend to bring a good bottle of wine along as the food is worth it.
