We eat here on a regular basis, we feel so lucky here in Belgrave to have so many great restaurants in the hills. The food is great and yes the service has improved over the years, it almost put us off but we stuck with it and so glad we did. We're off to eat there again tonight.

Beautiful place to catch up over a coffee or iced caramel(home made specialty). The food is always fresh, the staff are very friendly and the building and grounds are amazing. Organic food and drink in a warm and classy venue. An all time favorite.

What a find. We were at the cinema opposite and only noticed the cafe from the street. Great, friendly service, good menu, local wines and produce. We plan to use it as our post movie venue - grounds and manor are lovely, eat outside on the verandah or inside. Might try outside next time. So glad we found a new spot. I'd say try it, it may just surprise you

The food was mediocre in the extreme, the service was almost non-existent, my coffee didn't arrive but not surprisingly was included in the bill. I had to correct that. No air conditioning and not even a fan, just open windows on a 35C humid day! Not enjoyable, won't be returning.

This place was such a great find! Delicious, fresh predominantly vegetarian food which was served with efficiency and friendliness the entire night. The setting is dim and intimate with a real homely feel and the staff were professional and lovely. I have only been once, but the food was sensational. All four of us were incredibly impressed and I can not wait to go back. Highlights were the potato and cashew curry served in a roti bread shell, and the green risotto which was flavoursome but fresh and the risotto cooked to perfection. But even the bread and dips were outstanding. Will return again soon.

As the reviews here imply, this place varies from fanastic to feeble. One day the food may be excellent in taste, concept, presentation. The next day it's hardly edible. Staff may be friendly, then they may be so far away with the fairies you prefer not to disturb their fairyland fantasies. The only thing that's constant is the beauty of the building. This is a place where you take your chances!

If you blink you could miss this place. We were recommended it by the local pub owner. It was fantastic for people like us with dietary restrictions (plenty or vegan and gluten free options). The food and service was great the first time we went, but when we went the next day we sat upstairs and the service and food were a bit disappointing. All in all though a really quaint place to eat. The house itself is gorgeous and great atmosphere indoors and out! Also very child & dog friendly I noticed.

I love this place. Always friendly and the staff are not intrusive. I love the coffee and cakes. I can take my kids and they can play in the lovely gardens. Its a favorite for my girlfirends and I when we can get out and sample some of the great organic wine they serve.

This my favorite breakfast place in Melbourne. The Moroccan eggs are the best. They are not always on so might be worth phoning the day before. Their coffee is also the best coffee in town. I have not eaten lunch here.

Atmosphere, ambience, building, garden, music, all exceptional. We absolutely fell in love with the place the moment we walked in. And fantastic to see delicious looking vegetarian and organic options on the menu, if only we'd had a chance to try them.

Unfortunately, the staff, as friendly as they are, seem so relaxed and happy they appear to have forgotton they have a job to do. We waited at least twenty minutes before somebody came to take our drinks order, and then it took half an hour to actually receive our two drinks, despite there only being four other tables of customers there.

After these two long waits, by the time we'd finished our drinks, we couldn't order dinner as the kitchen had closed! A lovely place, and if the staff spent as much time working as they did sitting and chatting it would definitely be worth a return visit.

Please, somebody point the manager to this page. This place has the potential to be fantastic but the staff are grossly inefficient. It is charming place, but charm is nothing without professionalism.
