The menu at D.O.C Pizza and Mozzarella shows playfulness while respecting Italian old school cuisine. This results in Italian food that is contemporary and refreshing. D.O.C. has made a strong mark on the Melbourne pizza scene, churning out some of the finest and most authentic pizzas outside of Italy. Almost always, the place is busy and teeming with people—all craving for a taste of D.O.C.’s delicious pizzas, salads and desserts. The ambience here is vibrant and welcoming.

It's really interesting to see mixed reviews on this place. It is in my opinion one of the top 5 pizzerias in Melbourne. They stick to traditional Italian pizza with a thin base and minimal but fresh ingredients. If you're looking for huge toppings and thick bases piled with cheese, give the place a miss. If you're after a gourmet pizza D.O.C's the place for you! Prosciutto pizza with chilli oil, wow!

The menu is a delicious mix of amazing fresh mozzerella, antipizza, beautiful big hunks of prosciutto loaded to the old fashioned slicing machine and lots of amazing sounding pizzas.
There is no changes, no half half ‘scusi’! But the pizzas are a fabulous mix of the traditional with Capricciosa, Napolitana and Calzone.
I go for the Pizza ai Porcini with wild mushrooms and truffle oil and mozzarella in bianco with grated pecorino, it smells fantastic! read more at my blog.

There is a point where Italian Cool is actually just really really arrogant and this place epitomises it. The Pizza is ok, bot not worthy of the gasps people make when mentioning its name.
The waitress are a bit hard to handle, especially when they are hitting on everything with a pulse and long hair... ciao bella ciao bella. That's all we heard all night. If you like this kind of show then this is your place, but for me rockstars belong on a stage, not bringing me my pizza.

Great authentic taste of Italy, fresh ingredients and simple menu that doesn't disappoint. A pleasing selection of Aus/NZ and Italian wines. Place can get quite noisy but that just adds to the ambience. Service was good but not over friendly. Prices seemed a little steep for the minimalist menu, but quality of food made up for it.

Beautiful produce, great pizza, gets noisy, but very cool. Staff are knowledgeable but not super friendly.

Great selection of Italian beer, not bad pizza, the sound bounces everywhere in the joint and the service is as friendly as a heart attack. I suppose the more stand offish you are and less friendly the more pretentious, credit card carrying, innercity apartment dwellers, scooter riding turkeys you will get.

Fairly authentic Pizzeria, from the selection of imported mozzarellas to the brusque, Italian-speaking staff. Not cheap, but worth the splash out for a birthday, take a bottle of wine and get a few pizzas to share with one of the anti-pasto or cheese platters to start. Excellent coffee too.
