RAW chicken...TWICE!!! We ordered the Pinchos from the tapas menu, chicken was raw. We sent it back, it came back still raw!
Seafood paella was dry and mussels hadn't even been de-bearded. Waitress then insulted my intelligence and claimed that in this dish the beards were meant to be left in! Seafood wasn't fresh and wasn't cooked with the rice, was cooked seperately then added later.
Lazy chef! Waste of $100 and my saturday night. STAY AWAY!!!!
Nice and cosy place, but very busy. We tried chicken (delicious) and paella (to be honest, nothing special). Great sangria! Good food but very poor variety.
I was happy with the tapas and even the sides were great! A let down on the Paella (we had the chicken/lamb/chorizo) as it was rather dry. Unfortunately, we had the Paella at Bolero's in Warrandyte a month ago and this didn't match up. I'd come again, but not for the Paella.
The vegetarian paella was sensational and one serve is certainly enough for two. If you order the paella for two the price is double but the portion is only about a third larger than the one serve size. The service was very friendly and efficient. The dessert (custard filled doughnuts $10) were delectable.
I have been there twice now. The food is amazing. Very generous sized meals for tapas. Service really good, they love to stop and have a chat and explain about the meals and produce. Will definitely be heading back.
Great variety, large portions for tapas. Best to just order the tapas and not worry about the mains. I took my boyfriend here for a surprise dinner date and he love it. The Spanish doughnuts with custard centers and ice-cream were amazing. They were round doughnuts, not like your usual overfried cylindrical spanish doughnuts. Soft and sweet, perfecto.
I love this restaurant. Been here a few times but not for over a year. Interesting and tasty dishes and also some 'non standard' Spanish fare. Highly recommend.
