I recently booked our staff party here for just over 20 people. We were all very satisfied with the food and quantity. Absolutely delicious - haven't had Indian that nice since I lived in London. The service was pretty good. The wait staff were very efficient (even if they weren't to friendly and didn't smile much). They even provided 3 separate bills for the table as we ordered in groups. I will definitely return to this scrumptious Indian restaurant.

I ate at this restaurant recently and rate this as the best Indian restaurant in Melbourne. Amazing food and service, excellent value, great decor and a central location in the heart of Melbourne's CBD tucked in a little lane of Collins Street. Enjoyed every single dish and there is also a very good wine list at reasonable prices.

Have been here twice and in the year between visits I had forgotten how good this place is. The curries are the best I've had in Australia, where they are described as hot, they really are! Service was excellent, very flexible in entree portion sizes so everyone got abit of each item ordered. They even allowed split bills! Simply the best Curry place in Melbourne and will now be my regular.

Attended Curry Vault with a group of eight, and I must say, the place was, simply put, amazing. Walking in intially, the aromas of the Indian cuisine permeated in the air and smelt exquisite. We're shown to our seats, and the waiter on hand was polite, prompt and very efficient, certainly worthy of a tipping.

Since we had a pre-order booking, within a few minutes on arrival the food was ready, hot and perfectly cooked. We're in an out within 30 minutes, so I most certainly would recommend this place to anyone else interested in exploring a cultural cuisine. Most importantly of all, the price was very reasonable. I'll certainly be heading there again, now with a larger group.

Went to the Vault on the weekend. I have been a couple of times in the past, but it has been at least six months. We went straight to mains, so can only comment on the curries and condiments. The curries were up there with anything I have had in Australia and having Cobra to wash the food down with always helps. I wish this was my local.

Dined here with a group of 8. The restaurant is tucked away off little Collins st in one of the nicer lane ways. I was surprised it was not busy for a Saturday night. We all had the banquet which was really lovely. We were able to order more dishes if we ran out. The starters were a little dry but the currys made up for it. The staff were attentive. Would recommend this restaurant.

I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a beautiful meal, great service, and relaxing atmosphere where you can have an intimate dinner with your partner. Our waiter was very kind and professional and our food was to die for. I would have to say it is the best Indian meal I have ever had. I definitely will be coming to this hidden treasure again soon!

I have been to this restaurant a number of times and have always been delighted with the quality of the food and the good service. Most of the curries are mild to moderate and suit my anglo tastes. The host has also been most helpful in choice of food and wine.

Despite the rave reviews in this forum, the food at the Curry Vault is extremely mediocre. While it's not hugely expensive, the food is no better than take-out Indian fare. The tandoori chicken was very dry and flavourless. The Lamb curry was extremely chewy, the meat was fatty. If you're looking for quality Indian food, this is not the restaurant to go to.

Hidden away in a nice little lane The Curry Vault serves up great food which doesn't disappoin. Service is quick and professional. Food is piping hot and fresh. Ended up going back a second time in the same weekend.
