Tasty food and satisfactory service but one of our party is intolerant of MSG (flavour enhancer). We always mention this at restaurants when ordering, and it’s rarely a difficulty (and we dine out regularly). Many restaurants make a point of not using it. But at Cumin Thai, it seems that practically every dish has MSG in it, even the roti bread, and couldn’t be adapted.

Hence, the options available without MSG were very limited. Of course, it’s perfectly legal to use flavour enhancers, so others may not be concerned by this, and the banquet the rest of us had was fine.

This place consistently has the best Thai food I've tried in and around Melbourne, I must admit I have not tried Longrain but I can't imagine they will be any better value for price. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is the best stir-fried in Kooyong. I tried so many stir-fried and curry, that was awesome. I love Thai food and Cumin. You should try and you will never ever disappointed for Cumin Thai.
