Love this pub. I always go pass this place and decide go one day, great food, great service and a great place. The staff made me and my friends feel welcome and can't wait to go back!

I had my 30th birthday at the Cornish Arms. The food and service were great and compared to other pubs around the prices were very reasonable. I would recommend going to anyone who likes good value for money, $12 steak night is a must! It really is the best in brunswick.

If it wasn’t for the uninterested management, this venue would be good. Booked a week in advance for a table of twenty. We were greeted with a table in a poorly lit outdoor setting, in the rain with a single inadequate umbrella, no heating lamps and a senior staff that couldn’t care less. Being hungry, we took it upon ourselves to draw together tables in the inside area with no assistance from staff, at one stage even having three of our chairs removed (while outside having a cigarette) by staff to give to another table. Having said that, the food was good in all aspects and the drinks were fine.

We went on Tuesday evening which was pizza night - $6. Great value and delicious pizza. Nice guy serving.

Drinks tasted like crap and nowhere near what we ordered. Food was average, and servings ridiculously huge. The ambience was non existent and the pub was empty (I wonder why). A real disappointment.

If you are on a Uni budget this is the place to go to enjoy the best Kanguru stakes ever. On Monday nights they have specials of Roo stake (which is wonderfully cooked and would easily pay three time more for it) + glass of red for a really cheap price and enjoy great jazz/acoustic guitar music as well, some friends would even order two roos for the price.

The service is quite slow, but hey what would you expect for a bargain. Book in advance on Mondays or you won't get a table. Who to go with? You're down to earth male friends who enjoy music and good food. Be careful if you go other nights as they could feature bands that would require a cover but mostly great bands.
