So bad! I've made a booking for 12 people and when we're there,they told us that the rice noodles are all sold out, and after we're order the dishes that go with rice which is not nice and not worth the price, we saw someone else having the rice noodles, then they just told us that because we have too many people, so we we have the minimum charge, but they keep telling us the rice noodle are all sold out at the beginning and never mention it when we made the booking! Especially the lady boss conned us because she keep speaking in Vietnamese, I brought my friend there purposely for their rice noodles, I will never go for the restaurant anymore with such a bad services!

Enjoyed a meal there recently with a large group. Highly recommend the Chef's special of eggplant and tofu, was very special! Would go back just for that dish.

I love Coconut Palms. The produce is always of the freshest and best quality. The prawns (in any of their prawn dishes) are cooked to perfection and are big and juicy. I disagree with a comment made in another review that it is westernised, after coming back from Vietnam and heading straight to Coconut Palms, I find it is the range and quality of the produce available to Vietnmanese restauranteurs in Australia that enhance the food.

OK, so the Pho doesn't have that dirty water 'fresh from the well' taste but if that is what makes Asian food authentic, then I will happily forgo the tummy bug for good, clean, fresh food such as can be found at CP's.

This place has some amazing food, I strongly suggest the chef's special red chicken curry, despite being more Thai than Viet. Just be careful of the flaming bowl! We had four of us sharing a number of meals and couldn't fault them on anything. Wait staff are attentive, but the chilled wineglasses for red wine was a bit strange.

I found the food here too westernised. It was ok, but just didn't have enough of that Vietnamese edge. Serving size could have been bigger, also. I was not impressed when soy sauce, instead of fish sauce (nuoc mam) came out with my Pho.

Coconut Palms, Craving vietnamese pho ? This is the place in fitzroy. Great value, staff friendly. Love the Laksa and Satay laksa from here. Fresh and great value, vegos will like this place, the tofu is standard, fresh and simple.
