My new favourite "special occasion" restaurant. Absolutely top notch food. The jamon and prosciutto entree with artichoke and fennel salad was really perfect. Beautifully fresh. The lamb with soft polenta is heavenly and served at the table it is an experience, not just a meal! I have had the enormous T-bone steak here too. Very impressive and a good choice if extra hungry!

The service is excellent. Friendly and attentive. The private dining room that seats up to ten (I think they have a larger room as well) is perfect for a special group dinner. I'll be back!

9.10.08 Much improved from previously. Attended a launch with canapes, then six courses with matched wines. Very good quality food and service given the numbers. Will return for formal meal in near future.

30.8.08 Very slow service for a half-booked late Wednesday lunch, half an hour for water, bread or menus from a disinterested waitress, despite much arm-waving. Some help from other staff. Not what you expect for a business lunch crowd.

Maybe they were concentrating on the couple next us? Certainly they felt the need to fawn over them as I tried in vain to place an order. Another time and I would have just got up and left. Following service of our meal, the chef decided to sit down and have a long chat to them as well. Unprofessional.

Good feel with the many posters and comfortable banquets, resembling the rear seat of a former Dutton limo. Very good wine list and offerings by the glass. Soft shell crab smelt off, with a heavy-handed batter. Gnocchi light. Too much taleggio in the risotto, overpowering the stock and making the dish feel heavy, though the selection of mushrooms (chantarelles, trompettes) impressive.

Need to improve on a few fronts. I would like to "join the club" to get the attention our neighbours received.

One of my favourite restaurants. Good service, fantastic food, always seems to be busy. Try getting a booking on a Saturday night!! The menu is always changing so going back regularly is a pleasure.

Staples such as the three cheese tortellini, t-bone and lamb are winners, the jamon, raw artichoke and fennel salad is one of the best things I've ever eaten - crisp, fresh and alive. Desserts are a lot more modern than you'd expect from an Italian restaurant. Prices are very good for food this good.

Service is confident and friendly without being stuffy. Very personable. Amazing winelist too. Don't be afraid to ask for help with it, the sommelier really know his stuff. Highly recommended!

We were made to feel welcome here from the moment we stepped in. Service was very friendly and efficient. Even the owner came over to chat about the Roman lamb main which was as good as the lamb we ate in Italy!

We ordered the zucchini flower entree which was crisp and filled with a delicious creamy cheese. My fish main was cooked perfectly with a heavenly sweetcorn puree although this was slightly too salty. For dessert we ordered the pannacotta, which was a bit "heavy" and had slightly too large pieces of lime in it. However, it was still very good.

Overall though, the meal, service and atmosphere were excellent, and will definitely return in the future.

Professional, capable staff. Staff knowledgable about menu and were very accommodating of my 15 months old daughter. Stylish restaurant with roomy interior. Well matched wine list. Dishes were done beautifully, didn't feel like it was trying too hard. This restaurant was an unexpected find and I really look foreward to going back.
