Casual Asian Fast food. Good for a quick, hot meal when you're really hungry and short on time. Classic soup noodles, mix and matched from big vats of soup, different noodles, and minute servings of protein and veggies used as garnish.
Student waitresses bit more on the ball than the usual.

Had their duck feast recommend by my son from their newsletter and it was one of the most enjoyable meal we had in a long time. The highlight was not the Peking duck although it was quite good but the duck fried rice with preserved mustard veg and their salted duck yolk butter donut. Like jam donut it nearly burned my tongue with the molten filling but it was so delicious.
We told them it was a celebration so we were seated upstairs and we were quite secluded. Service was a bit slow initially but picked up towards the end. Was politely told the food lift wasn't working and the poor staff had to run up and down the dimly lit stairs.

Regular here as its close by to my office but recently celebrated our department end of financial party and had their banquet. Great variety but the best part was the free flow booze.

Stumble to this place pretty late Friday with the girls after a night out drinking and found they are open till late. Food was incredibly good and great variety. Didn't realise curry puff and laksa noodles can taste so good in a cold winter night. They have an Asian beer on tap and we continued lots more happy moments.

Had lunch there last Sunday and was impressed staff thought I was young enough to be a student and offered me the student menu. Friend had laksa $7.9 from the student menu and I had the Roti Reuben which was awesome but may not be the most healthy. Prices are now very reasonable for a decent restaurant. Service was friendly for a change from the normal eateries where they throw the food at you.

Went for Saturday lunch at the one in Melbourne Central on vouchers. And was very very thankful we had the vouchers because the banquet we had was not worth $45 per head. It was pick one entree and then 5 mains between you for three people and that was okay but the serving size was small and the chili-meter was deceptive. Those dishes that were supposedly hot weren't while others had a definite kick.
Also some of the staff seemed confused so it definitely depended on which wait staff you got. The first lady said we all had to pick the same entree while the next one was more experienced and realised we were on a voucher and that meant that we had been given the wrong menu and we could pick whichever entree we wanted.
The general menu looks interesting but the banquet menus are a bit restricted. While the food is good, there were only 3 entrees you could pick from and it depends which banquet you do as to what mains are available. The 'special' one we had actually has more seafood but was missing a few other dishes that were on the regular banquet. And as far as I could tell no banquet included dessert which seemed a bit poor.
Over all it was nice and the food was good if a bit hit and miss on the chili but it's not somewhere I'd rush back to.

We were frequent to the Melbourne Central branch until they recently changed their menu. Favorites are now gone and service has started to become disappointing. Floor staff do not seem to know the menu well and the senior staff is rather unfriendly. Can't tell when they will be opened or not as with a couple of trips there at normal times we found them to be closed. Just a disappointment for a frequents.

So happy to find out that Chillipadi is now in Australia on Collins. We always have to take 2 hours lunch break to travel from Collins St to Melb Central Chillipadi. The AOC food offering is not as extensive as the one in Melb Central due to the size and location (is in the food court, what do you expect?).
For the price you pay, you get a decent portion and the food is quite tasty. We had a Nasi Goreng (extra spicy) and the Fried Koay Teow. The queue is quite long at 1:15, but is worth the wait and the staff is very friendly. The only downside is that AOC has not enough cutlery and we have to use the disposable Spork from Chillipadi.
Then again, is the food that makes the different and not the cutlery.

Although I only went to the foodcourt outlet that's just opened at Australia on Collins, there's nowhere to provide feedback on the CP website. Just ordered a Chicken Korma and rice, fairly good size portion, but some of the chicken bits looked slightly undercooked (fingers crossed they weren't) and the whole thing seemed to taste of tuna. Definitely won't be bothering with this lot again if they can't get a korma right.

Have had a most enjoyable experience eating at Chilli Padi Waterfront City, Docklands. Nice menu, great staff and in all an enjoyable experience. Will definitely be going back there again. Highly recommended.
