Cherry Tree is a “gastro pub” with some good food and great choice of beer and wine. Check out the extensive list on the wall to see what drink takes your fancy. If you can’t decide or just wanna chat with the bar staff, they are more than willing to give you their thoughts to help you find your drink.

After waiting over 30 minutes for the majority of our orders to arrive, one of our party had to wait a further 30 minutes for his. During this time there were no apologies from staff, who would actually snap back in response to any queries.

Very poor service. Additionally, prices are ridiculously disproportionate to both the quality and quantity of food provided.

Don't eat here at lunchtime on Sundays. That is what I have learnt after my last visit to the Cherry Tree. Only 1 chef/cook was working, notwithstanding that there were about 20 diners who had booked in advance, plus the usual walk-ups in the front room. As a result of this woefully inadequate staffing, we waited almost 2 hours for our meals.

When they arrived, they were mediocre, probably because the cook was rushing to get through everything. And in the meantime, the front of house person had not once come up to aplogise or explain the long wait. The only redemption was that we were refunded our money after complaining. We won't be back.

Awesome local pub with top notch ambience. Two minutes walk from home. Food and value is questionable. Had some nice meals there at the bar, but quality in the restaurant is a bit hit and miss. Pattern seems to be that go in as a couple and you are ok. Go in a larger group and the food quality dives, cold, undercooked, etc. As a place for a beer it rocks, love it.

Absolutely stunning meals, good variety of beer, wine and ciders both local and imported. Highly recommend for the corporate lunch or casual catchup with friends!

Great food and a great little place that is intimate, cosy and draws a local crowd. The restaurant is a nice layout with an adjoining bar which is popular for after work drinks and nice in winter with the log fire. The service is very good, although when we were there they were unexpectedly quite busy and we were told we had to wait a while for our meals. They ended up giving us some free food and were very apologetic. My only complaint is that some of the food is too salty.
