We have been here a few times previously but found that sadly the culinary quality doesn't match the lovely views, but it is only a pub & the management & staff seem to accept that attitude. They ran out of orange juice & also merlot, a bit slack I thought. The soup was very average. The mains took ages to arrive but waiting staff assured us that grills quite often take much longer.

I don't know why my veal shanks arrived 10 mins after the 3 others in the party. Maybe I ordered unwisely on the night sitting on a bed of plain boiled rice with a very bland & bodyless gravy made it look & taste devoid of enthusiasm. Its a shame they didn't use the stock in my soup because they certainly didn't put it in the sauce/gravy.

Fortunately the others enjoyed their steaks. Unfortunately the din from the kids will always keep it as just a pub, although they still want to charge restaurant prices. The management need to lift their game before I come back.

Having dined at this pub many times over the years I have always found the food to be on the above average side of typical pub fare. The cost of dining here is what I expect to pay these days for a pub meal but similarily to other pubs still feel that it is a little excessive. At times you pay more to go to a pub these days than a nice italian restaurant in Carlton where you can enjoy a great serving of pasta or veal.

This pub venues great elevated views across Temp/Warrandyte on busy Friday, Saturday nights is spoilt from children running and creating havoc thru the dining arena on their way in and out of the childrens play area. I understand that children like to run around and have fun but running between other diners tables, yelling and screaming is not acceptable.

Maybe the parents should also take a lesson in teaching their children some manners and self control. Teach their "little darlings" at home first, before unleashing them to the paying public.

Fantastic service! We were seated promptly even though it was a busy Saturday night. I had my brother’s 30th there. They looked after us very well and put that extra bit of effort in to make sure we were comfortable. I ordered pasta and it was to die for. The perfect balance of flavour. Big meals for what you pay! My husband had a steak and he was happy with it even though he’s quite the fussy steak eater. The place had a lovely family orientated atmosphere.

Other times we've visited prior to the 30th, we had eaten in the TAB and enjoyed the betting and the wide selection of drinks at the bar. I have a four year old and they looked after him and arranged a kid’s meal to be brought to the TAB. That’s service!

As for the pokies, I'm not one to gamble but my husband and his mates like to have a late night there. They stay open till 5am! I’d recommend the Cherry Hill tavern to anyone. You must visit and see for yourself.

My wife and I ordered two items form the "Grill" page in the menu. The steaks were not grilled, they were pan fried and very over cooked. The garic butter on my steak was a frozen clump and the side salad and fries was a disgrace for $32.

I have eaten wagyu steak in a fine dining restaurant for $28. I would recommend the Cherry Hill as child frendly venue except the upkeep of maintanence in the child's play room is non excistent. Over the past 8 months the same items remain have broken and of no use to anyone. Shame as I was a regular and love the out door area, but won't be back because like my steak I have been burnt one to many times.

We have always found the food lovely and it is a great place for people who have kids as you actually get a chance to have a chat as the kids are busy playing most of the time you are there.

Made a big mistake by visiting this place, empty car park should have already warned. Service was good though but the meals, fish were maybe cooked three times (tough), schnitzel was like a Blundstone-shoe-sole, thick and tough. Chips soggy, shall I go on.

Scenery from the window would make it a nice relaxing place to enjoy a meal (if you could enjoy it) but the screaming kids causing a havoc by running in and out the play area make sure you won't enjoy even a drink here.
