I highly recommend cafe Cellini. I booked a table for my girlfriend and I as it was our anniversary. The service was excellent as the gentlemen took great care of us. The staff were polite and the food was delicious. we had the linguini marinara and the lamb Souvlaki, and the portion size of the meals were huge. My girlfriend and I were greatly satisfied and definitely got our money's worth. Cafe Cellini gets my tick.

Cellinis has to be one of the best restaurants in Melbourne. I have been here for both dining and also a function in the back room! I ordered the chicken and seafood paella which tasted delicious! The seafood was so fresh and the rice was cooked with perfection. It reminded me very much of what I would eat in Barcelona (spain). The wait staff would always ensure that we were right for drinks and that we are enjoying our meal. As for the function on a Saturday night, the food just kept on coming out and their was so much variety and everything tasted just as great as it looked! The set up of the venue was very nice and I would recommend it to anyone if they want to have their functions there. Keep up the good work Cellinis and I look forward to returning soon.

My wife and I had a voucher and used this last night. My wife had been here a few times before and mentioned that the food was more "up market" and expensive previously. We were pleasantly surprised with our experience. The food was fresh and tasty and the wait staff very attentive. We would be happy to return.

After being promised so much for our engagement, we got so very little. Terrible food, very average service from staff that just didn't want to be there and over inflated prices. Definitely won't be going back for any occasion.

After reading the reviews before going here I thought I was going to have an awful dining experience, but as I was going for someone's birthday I didn't really have a choice in the matter.

The staff were very helpful and served us drinks immediately as we waited for other people to arrive. The staff recommended dishes to try and were well informed on the options on the menu.

Some of the chairs were a bit rickedy but over all it was clean and not too cramped. As far as the food is concerned most of the entrees seemed to be fairly over priced so we only ordered some bread for the table, I would have been a bit more adventurous in the ordering, I would have ordered something other than garlic bread, but my request was not listened to by the people ordering entrees.

The mains were averagely priced, depending on what you ordered. I had the duck salad which was well plated, had nice balance of flavours, fresh ingredients and had a bit of an asian twist. Nearly everyone else enjoyed their meals, I was told the seafood risotto missed the mark a bit. The burger was also served with cheap stringy fries and could have done with fewer chucky fries to complete the dish. The fries let the dish done, but I was told the burger was fantastic. But over all the dishes were good.

Although the wine list was not that extensive, they did have most available by the glass which is a plus. Too many places these days have good wine list, but have limited range by the glass. The place would be a good place to frequent if you lived local, but it's not the kind of place you'd travel across town for. But if you live locally give or close by give it a try.

With such a nice building, and prime position for a restaurant, I must say we were very disappointed. After arrival, we had to call a waitress over, and ordered drinks and our meal. The drinks never arrived and after asking they had no trace of the order. So no drinks until the starter arrived. Unfortunately, we ordered the Asian starter platter, which was an assortment of Coles spring rolls and Samosas and 2 beef and chicken satays, very average. The mains were Ok but overpriced for what we got. The service was poor and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I had made booking at Cellini's for the Saturday night. The restaurant was not full when we arrived or the whole time we were there. We waited 20 minutes before we had to flag someone down just for our drinks order. We then had to flag waitstaff down (which took awhile) for the food and then drinks and then dessert. They did not leave the bottle of wine at our table and did not come and fill our drinks regularly.

We would have spent an extra $100 if the staff had been more attentive. The male waiter might like to put a smile on his face as well. So as first time patrons, none of us would recommend this place for its customer service. There are plenty of other great places to go to in Melbourne

I think this place is fantastic. Its local for me and the atmosphere is unbelievable.

Staff are very attentive and provide excellent service. Friday nights are great with a live band and resident DJ. Crowd is very easy going and the setup is comfortable with lots of seats. I recommend it for dinner, parties, get togethers, first dates or for just a simple night out where you can go crazy without having to dress up and be pretentious.

I really thought their prices were too high on everything, even drinks. The restaurant itself feels a tad clinical. Attentive staff and average food.
