If you want good service and nice meals don't go here. The meals were terrible, chicken kiev with no juice and rock hard, nasi goreng that was really greasy, chicken royale that was way overcooked and seafood curry where seafood was barely cooked and thrown in a dish. Had to ask for dirty dishes to be cleared several times and coffee was half a cup and lukewarm and when we complained the "small" woman lost the plot and stormed off back to the bar.

Customer service was non existent in this place and I would definitely tell people not to go there. All in all a terrible dining experience and will not be going there again.

Would have to be the worst place I have ever eaten at. Myself, my wife and another couple frequented this place after being warned about the poor standard of food here, but we decided to try it out for ourselves.

I ordered a chicken parma which I had to send back because the chicken tasted and smelled off. The girl at the register asked if I would like to exchange it for another meal, but I declined as there was nothing else on the menu I liked. My brother in law ordered fish and he was served up three of the smallest pieces of fish I have ever seen. We ordered fruit salad for dessert and this consisted 80% juice a little fruit and a dob of cream.

To top it all off, my wife brought up her meal of Lambs Fry later in the afternoon. Never again.

Very disappointing for the money spent on 2 meals. My husband had the Seafood Paella which was like tasteless gluggy rice, very bland. My order was Seared Calamari with baby beetroot, rocket and capers. The calamari was under cooked and chewy. The amount spent on this meal made it an expensive salad because that's about all I could eat of the meal. Definitely won't be returning.

My family and I went there for fathers day lunch on sunday and had a fantastic time. The staff looked after us and our meals were great. It was also great that the dads got a special treat as well! Highly recommend!

You would only eat here if you didn't have any tastebuds it is truly the worst food I've ever eaten tasteless glug. Not once but three times, so they are consistently bad.

That's not to mention the condition of the floor and the table when we were seated, all should have been cleaned up prior to being seated. It's a very noisy venue and the last time we were there was fathers day so all the dining area was open and you could hardly move to get the bar. Never again.

My husband and I went there for dinner with my parents on Saturday night. Firstly we were seated at a table where there was food all over the floor. The table was sticky from spilt drinks.

The meals took a while to come out. When they did come out, the medium rare steak was closer to medium and the medium steak was more to the well done. The steaks were also cold and hard to chew. The chicken Kiev was luke warm, the sauce wasn't runny in it and it was burnt on the bottom so you couldn't cut through. The chicken parma was the only thing that we didn't have a problem with.

The food and drinks are fairly pricey. To be expected with everything else increasing in price but you expect to get good quality for the value of money you pay. The venue itself is rather large and noisy. It was sometimes hard to have a conversation even on a small table. After this experience I'm not keen to go back for another meal.

Castellos have gone through the roof with their prices. The quality has gone down over the last couple of years. I ordered oysters paid more than I would at a seafood restaurant and they were the smallest oysters I had ever seen when I mentioned to the waitress she just said she would pass info on to head chef but nothing was done about it.

I went here for lunch with my family for a birthday. My meal was ok, a bit average and it was cold. My brothers steak and chips was a rip off it was over $30 and only a medium size steak and a handful of chips. My sister-in-law didn't like her meal she didn't eat it.

What can I say? When I found out that I was to be eating at this place I decided to be tolerant as I had heard many bad reviews and as I know they have a kids room I knew it was going to be loud. I was even tolerant when the Medium Rare steak I ordered came out well done.

But what I'm not tolerant about is when you ask that I be cooked a steak that is Medium Rare, that I then see 3 waiters and a chef hovering over my meal, and then having the waiter come back with a knife, having him cut in the middle of it and tell me 'Thats how we cook our medium rares'! I have never felt so unwanted in any place where I was dining before or after. I was embarrassed and angry.

Unfortunately, the days of the local top Bistro are gone. Too many big companies opening massive bistro's with plastic food that you wait ages for and pay a lot for.

Never again, staff rude, arrogant, waited an hour for food, oysters kilpatrick had barbecue sauce out of a bottle on them with burnt to a crisp bacon, medium/rare steak was black and tough. When complaint made to staff, no one responded and they stood in the corner, pointed and sniggered at us. Waitresses need to worry more about the clientelle! Stood at the bar while the young girls served man after man as if i wasn't there...so offensive...have told others too to never go there...Sofia's SOOOO much better...
