    No matter what anyone says, the walk up 6 odd flights of stairs to The Palms rooftop area is worth the hike. It takes a bit of imagination but the Carlton Hotel succeeds in creating that tropical getaway in the middle of the city. The many palm trees surrounding the bar does well to create that feeling. Make sure you keep that thought that you’re at a tropical bar. Because when you look past the palm trees, you’ll see the tall buildings in the background and you’ll realise that you’re still in the middle of the city.

    The Carlton is great, I didn't eat, only drinks. Great decor, great service, good price, great vibe, friendly crowd.
