First time dining here and it certaintly won't be the last! Absolutely fantastic food... really fresh. We had oysters kilpatrick, BBQ shellfish (prawns & moreton bay bugs), seafood/avocado salad and Eye fillet steak w garlic sauce. Best steak either of us had ever tried... just fell apart in your mouth... MMmm.
More surprising was that this quality is hiding out in Dandenong's main street. We were impressed with warm and attentive service, and will be taking friends there next time. Good value, Great food... a wonderful night.
Beautiful restaurant. It was recommended by friends and we loved it. The food was brilliant, fresh seafood. We had the fish of the day and crayfish salad (tasted like they were just caught). Service was friendly and attentive. Wonderful experience and would highly recommend!
We've been back several times now and my husband and I just love it. We've also introduced friends and family to Cardens. It's wonderful to know that the hosts remember you and your name. We just love the food and service here. Fantastic!
Its a fantastic restaurant which happens to be hidden away in dandenong of all places. Food was absolutely spectacular, myself and friends have become regulars, the Chicken Pane is one of the most beautiful meals I've ever tasted! Also very nice, friendly and attentive service, will definitely be back again. Well done!
Food was excellent. Both my partner and I were a bit skeptical at first as the restaurant didn't look the best and we were in Dandenong after all but then the entree's came and WOW!! My partner had the best oysters she has eaten in a long time and my advocado/seafood cocktail was also great. The mains were even better with the seafood platter and the steak going down better than any meal I've had in the city for a while. No more driving into the Watergrill for us, would rather save $50 and head out to Dandenong for a more relaxed meal!!
Food was spectacular, however the service was rather lacking. Our mains arrived close to an hour and a half after our entree's had been cleared. The restaurant was clean and nice but a little cramped for our liking. I was part of a group of six, we had varied dishes and all agreed the food was great.
Unassuming upstairs dining in what is an average suburb. Wonderful, knowledgable service transports you somewhere else. Varied menu which I can't comment on because I cannot get past the absolute best eye fillet (with pepper sauce) on the planet!!
