Went here tonight, without a booking as had heard good reviews and was in the area. They were able to accommodate us despite being busy on Easter Sunday. I have to say the service was extremely warm and friendly and the setting was romantic and intimate despite being busy. We will be back next time we are down from Sydney.

Now we can see why it is always so busy when we walk by! Delcious food, and well sized portions that you can fit in dessert and not feel like Mr Creosote. I am no epxert on italian cuisine, but this was very tasty, and yet simple at the same time. everything looked good, smelled great and tasted great. K - the vegetarian - described the gorgonzola risotto as to die for - and I had to agree. Wonderful service - thank you!

We always come here when we come down from Sydney for the tennis because it never disappoints. Gino runs a tight ship with Fabio qat the helm in the kitchen and Patrica overseeing the day to day operations. All this we found out today when we dined at Lunch today was no exception. The homemade pappardelle with fresh peas asparagus and prosciutto was al denta with simple yet superb flavors.

Zucchini flowers were crisp and filled with melting mouth watering cheese. Strawberries with layered pastry for dessert sent us straight from Italy to Heaven. The service is friendly yet professional and never lacking, with the waiters talking to you in Italian you can be forgiven for thinking you are in Italy. I could not recommend this Restaurant highly enough. Ask about the Parmesan gelato which used to be on the menu and when we asked about it today were surprised to see they had some for regulars.

Had lunch there today. Excellent service, food quality fantastic. Only 1 sav blanc on the wine list but plenty of others. Entree of calamari was a bit tough but the marina in paper was superb, a special of pasta with 4 different mushrooms wonderfully tasty and light, bruschetta of eggplant and anchovies strong and memorable. Highly recommended. Prices not in menu if I recall.

We were taken here by friends who are regulars so not sure if I can accurately rate the service aspect but it was great. Very attentive and polite. The place has a nice warm feeling with a pleasant buzz.

The shared entrees were great and we had a pork pasta which was brilliant. I couldn't leave any. The wine was expensive but great. Overall I thought it a little expensive.

We made our way here last night for my husbands birthday. It's quite out of our way (we're on the other side of the city), but is an old favourite from our years living in South Yarra, and it most certainly didn't disappoint. This place seems to be better every time we visit!

We started with the Anitpasto, which was simple, fresh, and full of flavour. For mains, I couldn't resist the Linguine di Mare, which was loaded with fresh seafood, in a rich tomato and oil sauce. Husband had the Duck Cannelloni, which he raved about, we also shared the Della Casa Salad. The gorgonzola was quite rich when teamed with the equally rich mains, but I still could have eaten 3 plates of it!

Service was impeccable, beer was plentiful, it really was a perfect night. Dessert looked amazing, but we were just too full. The night wasn't cheap, but most certainly not unreasonable considering the quality of the food and service.

Can't wait to come back here! Highly recommend.

My partner and I travelled from Perth to Melbourne in search of an amazing dining experience, and found it at Cafe e Cucina! Patrick and his staff went out of their way to squeeze us in off the cuff on a Saturday night. Once seated we were treated to truly orgasmic food, attentive service with an eye for detail in a welcoming, cosy environment.

We had to vacate our table for a late booking and were promptly seated at the bar to order and enjoy dessert. We were able to complete our dining experience and were then recommended a late night bar in the area we were staying. I cannot thank the team a Cafe e Cucina enough for a truly memorable dining experience. Highly recommended.

Have been here several times now and it's been great each time. Delicious subtle flavours in their pasta and plenty of yummy olives to snack on. Good wine selection and fabulous staff who are only to ready to take your jacket, tell you an amusing story and make sure you are having a belissimo evening. This place is tiny so don't forget to book.

Personally I don't understand what all the fuss is about. Whilst this place is ok, there are plenty more around which offer food as good without the pretentious price list.

Awesome restaurant, I've recently moved to Melbourne and have been here 3 times in the past month. Service is awesome, food is fantastic, and make sure you try the cheese platter! A++
