My partner and I went to Cafe La for our special occasion. For obvious reason, it's quite pricy. However, the food was very good, service was excellent plus the atmosphere/ambience was great.

Highly recommended by a close couple of ours, we decided to give this restaurant-in-the-skies a try. Hidden on one of Sofitel's floors this Modern-Australian restaurant offered a cosy atmosphere, complete with stunning night views of Melbourne and dimly lit tables.

Cafe La has an extensive menu and the waitress kindly offered the lamb cutlets as recommendation. I couldn't agree more - they were spectacular.

If you want a relaxed night out, high above the bustling noise of the CBD streets, this is the place to go. Oh, and preferably after pay day.
