Perfectly poached eggs on a herbed polenta square with roasted red peppers and a pinenut and spinach pesto is amazing. The eggs ooze like a rich yolky lava across the plate and the sweetness of the peppers and the zingy pesto is a formidable combination!.

We just had coffee here one Saturday morning. It is a great little neighbourhood cafe that is very popular. Great coffee. Nice setting, with tables on the sidewalk.

This cafe has a well-deserved reputation for great breakfasts! You can't go past the eggs forestiere with a side of roesti or their yummy pancakes. All the food tastes fresh and home made and their coffees are good too. One of my favourite breakfast cafes but it's busy so best to book ahead. The service is speedy and friendly. Nothing to pick on really, just a great cafe. Good location too as it's an easy stroll to the South Melbourne markets afterwards.

Cafe Sweethearts is definitely my choice for a relaxing Saturday morning. I brought my sweetheart here when she was on holiday and she insisted we went back the next day because she couldn't stop thinking about the grilled bacon. I recommend the Eggs La Mer, because the English muffins coupled with poached eggs, topped with slices of smoked salmon and a generous drizzle of creamy hollandaise sauce can't beat anything else!

An expensive treat but well worth the visit if you need a perk me up morning start with a smooth caffeine hit and your dog in tow. Outdoor seating means that smokers are welcome and customers normally bring their dogs to enjoy the chilled ambience of the cafe. Thumbs up times a million and I'll miss this place when I leave next week.
