The food was very well executed, the views wonderful, however, the service on this particular night was virtually non existent. After waiting close to 30 minutes for a bottle of red wine I'd had enough and complained to the duty manager. To her credit when it came to pay the bill, I was informed the entire meal (in excess of $200) was "on the house". I'd like to think I'd caught them on a bad night based on the general consensus on the service from other reviewers?
Food: More the same solid traditional meat and seafood dishes done well with quality ingredients, not aimed at the adventorous.
Ambience: Wonderful. Being on the 3rd level it is removed from the tourists and crowds. Walking past the pool area is nice. The light wood floors and pannelling is very nice. The Southbank flames can be seen and the biggest one reaches right up. Nice outdoor area for summer. Tip: aim for after dark, the view in the light is a bit average. Book ahead and request a window table.
Service: Excellent as can be expeceted with most of the fully Crown owned restaurants. Highly professional.
Value: Strong. There are some excellent lunch specials.
Overall a very nice Crown restaurant with great ambience that is as off the beaten track as you can get at Crown. Highyl recommeded.
Really liked this place, where we went because all of the other Crown restaurants were packed. Try and get a seat by the windows closest to the Yarra if you go for dinner, as the view of the fire display is great! Service was excellent, we had the seafood platter which was fresh, and good value considering its size.
I really like Breezes. The service was excellent and there were nice views of the city. I ordered a combination of side dishes as my entree and a salad for my main. My husband enjoyed the calamari and the Tasmanian salmon. All in all, it was a nice way to spend an evening.
