The food here is divine and was a great venue for a romantic occasion. Probably the best steak I've ever had in Melbourne and the pork belly melted in my mouth. Yum! definitely check this one out.

I have dined at Bottega twice. The first time was amazing and I simply had to return the following week, that second occasion was simply good. The food at Bottega is Italian with a modern twist: good pastas, seafood gravlax, a nice roasted half duckling etc. On my first dining occasion the service made the evening incredible, the waiters were friendly and informative, and the wine service simply blew me away.
The sommelier, Magnus was the reason for me returning, his wine matching skills were amazing and helped turn the very good food into an outstanding meal. Unfortunately, Magnus was not there the following week and the waiters, were struggling to provide wine advice, disappointing, the food, however, was still very good and I managed to choose some decent wines to accompany it, although Magnus would have done better.
It should be noted that the chef, and sommellier have now changed at this restaurant and I have not returned since, though look forward to doing so soon. Highly recommended!!
This is a chefs hat restaurant but I found it over-expensive and the quality was just OK. Service is impeccable. The chefs hat belongs with the wait staff. Very disappointed by the price and quality of food.
