We were happy with entree and main, they were delicious. When we asked if we could wait to have dessert (banquet menu), she said no! The dessert was average, but it was more them not being accomodating. There were another couple there, and they were still there when we left. Disappointed with service, probably won't go back.

I have gone to this wonderful restaurant many times, with my partner, another couple and a large group of friends. Everyone agrees that the food is great here, we have never had a bad meal. Our favourites are Butter Chicken and Malai Kofta. The service is good and the prices are reasonable (they are also part of the Entertainment book program). I agree with the other people to watch out for the parking, I too have been caught.

We have been searching for our favourite indian restaurant in Melbourne and we have finally found it! Visited on a Saturday night and the place was packed, just managed to get a table. The service was very friendly, although a little on the slow side. However, we did chat to the joint owner afterwards and she said her husband, the chef, prefers to take time to make the food perfect rather than rush it out.

This is very true as the food they prepared for us was delicious, give any of the dishes a try there as I think they are all good. The bill was quite reasonable and although the decor is tired and in need of an upgrade, the food is worth the visit! Parking in the area is limited and be careful where you park in the adjoining side street as we received a parking fine at 9 pm on a Saturday night while visiting the restaurant! That aside we will definitely be back!

Our first time in Melbourne, was fulfilled by going to this restaurant it was a great treat, we went there last Friday and it was very, very, busy we couldn't even get our takeaway ready so we waited for about 45 minutes until we received our food, the value was very cheap and the service was extremely good, I totally disagree with the bottom comment and say even though our food was delayed it was still delicious with yummy textures and being perfectly cooked it was worth the wait, we loved this restaurant and will be going there very soon.

Feel of the restaurant was very authentic, service was very good. Ordered the buffet, if went back would probably not get this again as there was more appealing dishes to chose on the menu. Location and parking lets this place down, once seated it is great.

This gem is tucked away in an arcade next to Ormond railway station. The food is excellent and represents fantastic value for money. Wow is one of the words that can express what I was feeling after I went to this restaurant. Suprisingly we have lived in Ormond for 10 Years and did not realise about this restaurant until we saw this website and read some of the comments. We thought we better go and try and it tasted aromatic and delicious. No words can express how good this place was.

I've been to this place after reading reviews on this website and the standard just tallies with the reviews. Food at this restaurant is just perfect. Although the number of dishes/item on the menu are less, quantity served will be just fine and one can expect a "close to perfect" taste for each and every item. Despite being a city dweller, I've been twice to this place in the last 8 weeks. I've tasted most of the veg starters/dishes available on the menu and found them very tasteful. I recommend "Bagara Baingan, Malai Kofta" as a must eat along with "Onion Chilly Kulcha". The management is accommodating and service is impeccable.
