I really enjoyed my evening at Bluestone. Fortunately, being a week night I was able to get a last minute booking and found the whole experience wonderful.
The entree of scallops was delicious, the scallops were cooked to perfection and plated attractively with a well matched accompaniment of rocket salad. The main of ocean trout was also excellent with a lovely crispy skin and again a well matched snow pea tendril and mango salad. I was not planning to have dessert, but after the entree and main were so good, I decided to try the milk chocolate mousse with coconut marzipan and I'm really glad I did as it was superb, a great way to finish the meal.
The service was great, very attentive and unobtrusive. A great night which I am looking forward to repeating when next in Melbourne.

My wife and I spent Valentines Day evening at Bluestone. It was a special set menu and the food was superb as usual, service fantastic, and great wines and lovely touches like rose petals over the table. A beautiful evening. You get what you pay for.

I have eaten in both the restaurant and downstairs bar. The pizzas in the bar are excellent and well worth the $22 price tag. The atmosphere upstairs in the fine dining restaurant is very nice and very pleasant staff. With the exception of the excellent chocolate desert, I just found the food a bit boring.

This place is one of my favourite special occasion restaurants. The food is amazing (best scallops ever!) the service is top notch and decor is lovely. Definitely not cheap, but here you get what you pay for. Highly recommended!

This place is great. We ate in the basement part and were very pleased with the entire experience. Food was delightful and the service was very attentive. On the night we attended there was also live jazz, which made it a very nice outing. I will definitely be going back again.

An expensive restaurant, but the place looked fantastic, the service was great and the food was amazing. We all ate different dishes, steaks, lamb, and veal, all cooked to order perfectly. Upsells on the water bump the price even more, but all in all, a nice place to spoil yourself.

This was a pleasant surprise for me, the service here is top class and the surroundings are very classy. I had the scotch fillet and it was perfectly cooked with onion sauce. There were four of us and all agreed that the food was excellent. The only drawback here is the price but I guess you are paying for the service as there seem to be a lot of staff. A simple glass of wine will cost minimum $12 which I think is a bit steep, but they have a huge wine collection. This is a high quality place and you are paying for what you get.

Whilst a busy night, the service and attention to detail was excellent. The eye fillet was excellent. We look forward to another opportunity to dine at Bluestone.

What a great place in a great space! I absolutely love Bluestone’s versatility, from leisurely dining in the restaurant to a drink or cocktail with a tasty bite in the groovy downstairs lounge/bar. We frequent Bluestone often, for special occasions, when needing a trusted, good food and wine haven to escape the noise and busy-ness of the city, or sometimes before a show.
The cuisine draws on various influences from around the world. Their use of Middle Eastern and other spices is subtle, clever and creative, especially when combined with some of the best produce you can get in Melbourne. The food is created with great care, attention and style and the presentation excellent.
One of my personal favourites is the melt-in-the-mouth pumpkin and feta fritters entree with lime, just the right dash of chilli, and sweet potato chips. There are crunchy hazelnuts dotted in the accompanying salad, and a delightful yoghurt sauce. There can be quite a few things happening on the one plate, which makes it exciting and different, but without being too busy and the balance achieved is divine!
I also recently tried their Hervey Bay Scallops on a jerusalem artichoke puree. It was positively stunning. The place is reliably great every time, so I can take anyone there in the confidence that they'll be blown away.
