Overview of BlueFire Churrascaria Grill & Bar
Unique and exciting dining experience.
BlueFire's unique “Churrascaria” menu feature flame grilled favourites; beef, chicken, lamb, seafood, pork and more. It’s carved right at your table until you say “no more!” Grilled seasonal vegetables and the Chef's special selection of condiments compliment the meats and seafood.
Watch the Chef's in action at the grill from your seat via one of the plasma screens scattered around the restaurant walls.
An enticing a-la-carte menu is also available offering a large variety of oysters, mouth-watering steaks, and more. The stylish interior is inviting with amazing chandeliers, white linen and fantastic water views.
Hi, My partner and I went to lunch last Saturday to celebrate my birthday. At first atmosphere and location is pleasant in your restaurant. However, service and food is absolutely horrendous.
The lovely waitress was doing her best, but that was all about service, as we noticed as soon as food started coming. Dishes and glasses were not very well cleaned. Dips plate was chipped in all different corners that we needed to ask to be replaced, as it was totally disgusting. Dips were split between the 3 containers: onions on the mayonnaise and tomato sauce on the mayonnaise. Onion was dead which we didn’t even dare to try.
Service appalling, once meat was ready: Pieces of meat started coming, but waiter could have been more tactful to wait until we had the time to taste some of what he was bringing. Literally almost every 30 seconds he brought more and more meat, not noticing that even our plate was full.
Meat flavor and texture was the worst. Beef was burned, tough and cold. Fish absolutely terrible, dry and probably the worse eaten in the cheapest fish ‘n’ chips place. Calamari was rare, lamb and pork also tasted old. We thought that this situation was occurring maybe because we were one of only 3 tables serving on this side of the room.
We didn’t want to complain in part because waiters seem to be doing their best with no management personnel visible or in charge. I didn’t want to ruin my birthday either. I’m sure that many people comment to you about this extremely poor service for the standards expected in this city and location. We certainly won’t go come back again, and we’re sorry for that. Please take note of this.
I had high hopes for this restaurant but I was bitterly disappointed. Service was pretty much non-existent. It took 1 hr to get water for the table after asking numerous wait staff, only to be given 1 glass to serve 8 people! Considering this is a grill, the meat was average. At times dry and tasteless. The best part of the evening was the dessert, chocolate mousse cake and chocolate tart were delicious! Overall however, I wouldn't bother going again, pretty expensive for what you get.
Extremely poor value for money. The restaurant was almost entirely empty, and yet our large table was treated as though we were pests and in the way. The fan broke down half way through the meal, and the entire restaurant was filled with smoke.
The meat (according to my partner and his friends) was undercooked and cheap, and don't even get me started on my vegetarian dish, four luke-warm side dishes slapped together on a plate. One quarter of a plate of poorly cooked mushrooms, a quarter of blanched broccoli, a quarter of a plate of beans, and a few leaves of spinach. At a price that ended up at well over $35, it was certainly one of the more expensive, and most poor value, salads I've eaten.
Steak was pretty average, nothing special. Waitress brought wrong sidedishes and we got charged for it anyway. Instead of making a mixed sauce they just brought out two sauces and charged double. Atmosphere was very nice though but if you want a good steak for the price you are paying head elsewhere.
Good food, and good service. Best service is on weekday lunches, not many people and constant bringing of skewers. Only do the all you can eat meat menu, best value. Surprisingly, the seafood was probably better than meat, nice calamari and fish.
The worst restaurant I have ever been too. Churrascaria, What a joke! Waitress did not explain that salad and wedges are a separate price when your order Churrascaria. $19 for 2 veg/salads that you couldn't even attempt to devour from the terrible seasoning. What a rip off! Do not recommend! A big thumbs down.
Meh, what can I say, a Brazilian imitator? wanna be? I found the meat to be somewhat dry and a limited selection. Also it seemed the longer you stayed the less attention you got even if your table marker was green. We went on a Tuesday and got a little more bang for the buck but I wouldn't recommend paying 50 a head for the bbq alone if I were to recommend this place at all, did they have sangria.? I believe not, pity.
I went on a Tuesday night with some office colleagues, we all chose the Churrascaria menu. Food-ordered the calamari and scallops for starters they were well prepared, were one of the highlights of the course. The mains were unlimited in the Churrascaria menu, we sampled all of the meats and seafood.
I'd recommend to stick to the lamb, pork sausages and chicken. The fish ,beef, pork and calamari are simply not worth the space in my stomach. Desserts servings were larger than expected, but would definitely chose them over starters, recommend the black and white chocolate mousse. (in the Churrascaria menu, you have to chose if you want the starters or the dessert as the 2nd course).
Ambience-Classy decor, not very noisy, the LCD displays of the grilled meats kept you entertained! Service-We had a couple of wait our table, must all each one of them were equally courteous and prompt. Value-Great for half price, would definitely be disappointed paying full price for the same meal. Have to make a trip on the Tuesday to avail the discount though.
Will I go back again? Yes, definitely, only on a Tuesday though.
I was disappointed in the quality of the food. We weren't able to taste all 7 types of meats offered in the Churrascaria grill as the service was shocking, our table was being ignored while others around us were getting served and we had also been given a time limit to free the table up for a booking.
I had relatively low expectations when I went to this restaurant last week, as I am yet to find a really good Brazilian grill in Australia (my best experience to date being Braza in Leichhardt, NSW).
Even so, Bluefire managed to disappoint: the food is nothing to write home about, the service is slow and at $49 per person, the value is poor. Location is this place's only saving grace but the overall experience makes it less enjoyable.
In terms of authenticity, the variety of meats offered was not great, the seasoning odd (e.g., the cumin makes the Beef "taste like Indian" as per Luana's comment) and a number of must-haves like rice, black beans and farofa (fried cassava flour) completely absent.
But the maitre d's "I have no idea of what that is but I doubt it" reply to my usual "do you serve picanha?" question made it clear from the start this would not be an authentic experience. So I am not rating this as a churrascaria: for that price bracket, the food is ordinary by any standards.
